MIDDLEBURY — Phyllis V. Salinardi, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at Middlebury Convalescent Home after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the widow of the late Felix J. Salinardi.

Phyllis was born in Waterbury on June 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Harold “Ted” and Hazel Aldrich. Phyllis was employed by the Bristol Company for 30 years as an electronic assembler. She was a communicant of St. Michaels Church and a member of the Thursday Nighters.

She loved crocheting, knitting and polka dancing. Her apple pie was outstanding. To the frustrations of life, she would say “If it’s not bugs, it’s worms.”

Her smile and devotion to family has been missed at all of our family gatherings.

Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings Edith Fredrickson and Leslie Aldrich.

She is survived by her son, John Salinardi and his wife, Donna, of Middlebury; grandchildren, Christopher Salinardi and Carolyn Thomas of Southington; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Thanks to Middlebury Convalescent Home for the excellent care they gave my mother.

A funeral service was at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Thrive Church, P.O. box 491, Plantsville, CT 06479.
