NAUGATUCK — A 47-year-old Naugatuck woman is facing charges after police say she stabbed a man with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute in early March.
Police learned of the stabbing after the man was taken to the emergency room at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury on March 7. Police said the man was stabbed once in the chest during a domestic dispute with Monique C. Dorantes-Taylor at a home on Walnut Street.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and has since recovered, police said.
Dorantes-Taylor turned herself on an arrest warrant March 30 in connection with the stabbing. Police charged her with first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Dorantes-Taylor was released on a $75,000 bond after appearing in Waterbury Superior Court March 31. She’s scheduled to appear in court again on May 29.
