NAUGATUCK — A report of an assault Tuesday at Peggy Fenn’s bar on Bridge Street led to three people being charged with three different domestic disputes.

Police were dispatched at 11:23 p.m. to the bar at 56 Bridge St., where Brian Chandler, 25, of 263 Willow St. in Waterbury said his cousin 39-year-old cousin Danielle Santos of 9 Highland Circle had struck him with a pool stick or cue ball, he didn’t know which, Lt. Robert Harrison of the Naugatuck Police Department said. Chandler had no visible injuries.

When an officer interviewed the two, Santos said they had fought earlier in the evening at a friend’s 11 Highland Circle home, where, she said Chandler pushed and punched her. Santos showed police a bruise on her arm.

Police charged both cousins with disorderly conduct. Santos was released on a $500 bond and Chandler was released on a $2,500 bond. Both were due Wednesday in Waterbury Superior Court.

While police were investigating the complaint, they saw a 44-year-old woman crying. She said she had been talking to John Mortensen, 43, of 55 Sheffield Lane, by the bar’s rear door and he smacked her in the forehead. The woman’s forehead was red, Harrison said.

Police arrested Mortensen and charged him with disorderly conduct. He was released on a $500 bond to appear June 15 in Waterbury Superior Court.
