NAUGATUCK — Antonio C. Simoes, 57, died Thursday, June 25, 2015. Tony was married to his loving wife Ana (Portijo) Simoes for the past 39 years.
Mr. Simoes was born September 29, 1957 in Lisbon, Portugal, a son of the late Jose and Cesaria (Oliviera) Simoes. Tony loved the ocean, trips to Cape Cod, early morning drives and he especially loved playing with his grandchildren. Tony worked for Manafort Brothers Construction Company as a foreman and a laborer.
Besides his loving wife Ana, Tony is survived by his son, Carlos Simoes and his wife, Laura, of Thomaston; his son, Mark Simoes of Naugatuck and his companion, Lisa Porteses, of West Haven; his two beloved grandchildren, Chloe and Tyler Simoes; his brother, Acacio Simoes of Portugal; his four sisters, Isabel Santos and her husband, Manuel Henrique, Guilhermina Canico and her husband, Jose, and Paula Carvalho and her husband, Vitor, all of Portugal, and Elizabete Almeida and her husband, Lou, of Oakville; his mother-in-law, Rosa Costa of Naugatuck and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave.
