NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Debra C. (Beck) Fortin, 52, of Naugatuck, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 11, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of Robert L. Fortin
Deb was born in Williamsport, Pa., March 12, 1960, a daughter of the late Donald and Shirley (Bloom) Beck and was a Naugatuck resident since her early childhood. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She enjoyed reading and music and spending time with her family and friends. She was formerly employed at Top O’ the Mornin’ restaurant.
Besides her husband of 21 years, she leaves a step-son, Robert J. Fortin of Stamford; three brothers, Donald “Rusty” Beck, Dean Beck and Douglas Beck all of Naugatuck and one sister; Darlene Lupachino of Waterbury and six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friends and caregivers, Eileen Duffy Porter, Rhonda Bridschge and Kristin DeCarlo. She was predeceased by a son, Walter Fortin.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in the State Veteran’s Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
