Serving up an ace

Naugatuck sophomore Brielle Behuniak scored 39 service points and dropped 14 aces on Wilby last Thursday in a 3-0 sweep of the Wildcats.

Double-winner

Naugatuck junior Abrianna Hasipi led the Greyhounds to a 95-85 win over Sacred Heart last Friday winning the 200 freestyle and then taking first in the 500 freestyle.

Model of consistency

Woodland senior Brooke Pope has been a consistent double-winner for the Hawks. Last Friday, Pope set the tone winning the 50 freestyle in 26.94 and the 100 freestyle in 59.61 as Woodland got by Torrington 92-84.

Senior leadership

Naugatuck senior Cailee Bergin was a force in the front row with in last Friday’s 3-2 win over Oxford. Bergin had 13 kills, 12 service points and 11 assists to lead the way.

A four-ce to be reckoned with

Naugatuck senior Matt Carroll jump-started the Naugy offense by scoring four goals in last Friday’s 7-1 win over St. Paul.

The Greyhounds (5-0) will return from the bye week Friday against Watertown (4-1) at Veterans Field at 7 p.m. Both teams are 2-0 in division and the winner would clinch at least a tie for the division crown.
