Legion holding baseball registration

The Prospect-Beacon Falls American Legion baseball team will be holding registration for new and existing players.

The first registration session will be held May 3 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Beacon Falls Senior Center, 57 North Main St., Beacon Falls. A second session will be held May 6, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Prospect Firehouse, 26 New Haven Road, Prospect.

To be eligible to play, players must live in Prospect or Beacon Falls and existing players must be born on or after Jan. 1, 1993. New player eligibility is for players born between 1994 and 1997. For more information, call General Manager Jeff Clarke at (203) 228-0374.
Don Ensero, Sr., who is the chair of Legion youth activities, will take over the position of head coach this upcoming season. Ensero brings over 50 years of experience to the position. The season is shaping up as a rebuilding year with many young players expected to join the team.

The team is seeking an assistant coach. For more information on the assistant coach position, call Ensero at (203) 575-1511.

The team is also seeking donations to offset expenses. Anyone who would like to donate can send a check to: American Legion Baseball , P.O. Box 7192, Prospect, CT 06712.
