Greyhounds hosting softball clinic

NAUGTUCK — The Naugatuck High School softball team will be hosting its annual summer camp this summer.

The camp is scheduled for July 18 to July 22 and Aug. 1 to Aug. 5 at Naugatuck High School. The camp, instructed by Naugatuck coaches and players, will focus on fielding, catching, throwing, pitching, running, hitting, special situations and conditioning.

Volleyball clinic coming in July

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Greyhound Volleyball Clinic is open to girls entering grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. This is an instructional program for girls with an emphasis on developing skills and fundamental techniques.

The clinic, under the direction of Naugatuck High Girls Volleyball Head Coach Fred Scheithe, will be offered mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Naugatuck High School, 543 Rubber Ave. The clinic will run Tuesday through Friday, July 5 through July 8. Woodland offering cheerleading clinic

BEACON FALLS — The Woodland Hawks Spirit Club is hosting a four-day cheerleading clinic.

The clinic will run from Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Woodland Regional High School gymnasium. The clinic will focus on improving cheerleading skills and learning a cheer and dance routine to perform on last night for family and friends.
