NAUGATUCK — The Parks and Recreation Commission is hosting the local Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run competition May 5.

The competition is the official youth skills competition of Major League Baseball. The competition is free and open to area children ages 7 to 14. Participants will pitch at a designated target, hit from a stationary batting tee for distance and accuracy and run from second base to home plate for time for the chance to move on to the sectional competition.

The skills competition will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Union City Little League Joe Joy Complex, 169 Morris St. For more information, call Jay at (203) 729-6805 or Kim at (203) 720-7071.
