Double figures

Woodland senior Dylan Sender emerged as the offensive leader for the Hawks in their season-opener on Tuesday. Sender knocked down 10 points in a 52-32 loss to St. Paul.

Another scorer in town

Teams may be surprised when they try and stop Woodland’s scoring leader Morina Bojka. Fellow senior Maddie Hupprich has shown the ability to make teams pay, including a team-high 20 points in the Hawks’ 53-27 win over Ansonia Dec. 14.

Valuable addition

Woodland junior Eliza Smith is quickly becoming one of the Hawks’ key players. She is averaging nine points per game and had 15 points in a 53-27 win over Ansonia Dec. 14.

A leader in the making

Naugatuck junior Molly Kennedy is quickly taking on a leadership role for the girls basketball team. She had a game-high 11 points in the Greyhounds’ 39-31 win Dec. 16 over Oxford.
