Peter J. Foley holding registration

NAUGATUCK — Peter J. Foley Little League has announced registration dates for the spring 2015 season.

Registration can be done Feb. 19 and Feb. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 14, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All registration session are at the Peter J. Foley Clubhouse on Andrew Avenue.

Boys and girls born between May 1, 2002 and Dec. 31, 2011 are eligible to play baseball. Players must reside on the west side of Naugatuck.

New players should bring a birth certificate and proof of residency to registration.

The fee for Major and Minor Leagues is $90 per player. The fee for Farm League is $70. The maximum registration fee per family is of $140. The fees do not include an additional $25 mandatory fundraiser per player.

Snow pushes back NVL meet

After two postponements, the Naugatuck Valley League is hopeful the third time is the charm when it comes to the indoor track championship meet.

The meet has been rescheduled to Feb. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at the Floyd Little Athletic Center on the campus of Hillhouse High School in New Haven.

The meet was originally set for Feb. 3, but it was postponed due to weather. The makeup date of Feb. 8 was also snowed out.

Branco makes NE-10 Honor Roll

EASTON, Mass. — Adam Branco of Naugatuck was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Fall 2014 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Branco is a freshman soccer player at Stonehill College. To make the honor roll, student-athletes must earn a grade point average of 3 or higher.
