NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck High School is holding freshmen orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in the auditorium.

Orientation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and include a welcome address, tours, games, and light refreshments. The orientation is for students only, and students are responsible for their own transportation.

An orientation for parents is scheduled to be held in early September.

The first day of school for Naugatuck is Wednesday, Aug. 31. The first day is a full day of school, which means high school will begin at 7:30 a.m. and run until 2 p.m.

Students in grades 10 through 12 should report to the same homeroom they had last school year and schedules will be handed out in homeroom. Students in grades 10 through 12, who are new, will find homeroom assignments posted outside the main office.

Freshmen should report directly to the main building where homeroom assignments will be posted throughout the Judd Hallway and staff will be available for assistance. Freshmen who attend orientation will be escorted to their homerooms during orientation.
