Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Eric Robert Santos, 28, of 75 Sunburst Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 23 with engaging police in pursuit and reckless driving.

Police reported on Aug. 23 at approximately 3:06 p.m. Santos was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a motor vehicle investigation on July 13, 2018 at approximately 5:50 p.m. Police reported an officer attempted to conduct a motor vehicle investigation of Santos, who was operating a motorcycle and refused to stop for the officer. Based on the investigation, police reported, Santos was identified as the operator of the motorcycle. Santos was given a court date of Aug. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

Kristen A. Lane, 42, of 440 South Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 23 with risk of injury to child and third-degree hindering prosecution.

Police reported on Aug. 23 Lane was arrested on an active arrest warrant for the above listed charges. Lane was given a court date of Sept. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.

Michael A. Korzen, 31, of 440 South Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 23 with second-degree failure to appear, use of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance, interfering with an officer, risk of injury to child, third-degree robbery, interfering with an emergency call, second-degree breach of peace, and two counts of first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 23 at approximately 7 p.m. Korzen was arrested on active arrest warrants Korzen was given a court date of Aug. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

David Roberts, 42, of 1 Cross St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 25 with interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Aug. 25 Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched to a domestic-related complaint of which Roberts was involved. During the investigation, police reported, Roberts was interviewed and during the interview he became uncooperative and combative with investigating officers. Roberts was arrested and released on bond and was sent to a local hospital for evaluation. He was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 5.

Carla A. Roman, 33, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 26 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 26 at approximately 5:15 p.m. officers responded to a reported domestic dispute. Police reported it was determined that the two became involved in a verbal altercation that became physical when Roman struck the victim in the face. Roman was held on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 27.

Thomas E. Johnson, 56, of 79 Ramsey Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 26 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Aug. 26 at approximately 7:40 p.m. Johnson was found to be operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs.
Johnson was given a court date of Sept. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Emma B. Sheriff, 26, of 1 Bradley St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 26 with risk of injury to child, third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on Aug. 26 at approximately 10:08 p.m. officers responded to 1 Bradley St. for a reported domestic dispute. Police reported it was determined that the family members became involved in a verbal altercation that became physical when Sheriff pushed and choked the victim. Sheriff was held on a $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 27.

Wanda Ellease Jackson, 48, of 11 Melissa Court, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 27 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 27 at approximately 8:20 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Jackson broke a glass table in the home. Jackson was given a court date of Aug. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Christopher Jackson, 46, of 11 Melissa Court, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 27 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 27 at approximately 8:20 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Jackson broke a glass table in the home. Jackson was given a court date of Aug. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Frank John Pomarico, 53, of 21 Mettler St., Woodbridge, was charged Aug. 27 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Aug. 27 at approximately 9:18 p.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Pomarico was operating under the influence of alcohol. Pomarico was given a court date of Sept. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Brooks Joseph Maiette, 31, of 32 Greenwood St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 28 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 28 at approximately 9 a.m. Maiette was arrested on active arrest warrants. Maiette was given a court date of Aug. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond

David Junior Laguna, 36, of 75 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug 28 with drinking while driving.

Police reported on Aug. 28 at approximately 9:40 p.m. Laguna was arrested on the above listed charges. Laguna was given a court date of Sept. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
