Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Steven C. Lucisano, 22, of 6 Scott Road, Prospect, was charged June 29 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on June 29 at approximately 3:41 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused calling the victim, which is a violation of a standing protective order. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 30.

Jordan Earl Kershaw, 31, of 55 Lantern Park Drive Unit 1, Naugatuck, was charged June 29 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 29 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused mentally and physically abusing the victim during their time of living together. The accused was held on $50,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 30.

Williemae Reed, 34, of 112 Westfield Ave., Ansonia, was charged June 30 with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 12:50 a.m. the accused was in a holding cell waiting to be picked up by Westport Police Department on an active arrest warrant out of the town. While in holding, police reported, the accused proceeded to intentionally urinate on the floor of the holding cell without notice or asking the officer to use the restroom. Police reported the accused caused a biohazard. Police reported this put officers and maintenance staff at risk of COVID-19, which also had to be cleaned to certain specifications, which left the holding cell unusable during this time. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Joseph A. Liberatore, 64, of 463 Park Drive, Berlin, was charged June 30 with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 6:06 p.m. the Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched to A-1 Pizza at 129 Rubber Ave. on an assault involving several adult males. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused and an accomplice harassed the owner and caused damage to a window on the property. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Jake Fredirick Liberatore, 28, of 159 Liberty St., Southington, was charged June 30 with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 6:06 p.m. the Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched to A-1 Pizza at 129 Rubber Ave. on an assault involving several adult males. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused and an accomplice harassed the owner and caused damage to a window on the property. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Jose David Quezada, 40, of 220 Ledgeside Ave., Waterbury, was charged July 1 with tampering-physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on July 1 at approximately 2:11 a.m. officers were dispatched to area of South Main Street by the Mobil gas station on a suspicious motor vehicle complaint. Police reported further investigation showed that the passenger was in possession of a drug paraphernalia and in possession of a controlled substance. Police reported the accused was also found trying to tamper with evidence during the investigation. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 20.

Avis Quezada, 38, of 220 Ledgeside Ave., Waterbury, was charged July 1 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on July 1 at approximately 2:11 a.m. officers were dispatched to area of South Main Street by the Mobil gas station on a suspicious motor vehicle complaint. Police reported further investigation showed that the operator was found operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, in possession of a drug paraphernalia and in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 20.

Amalia Mcvay, 39, of 92 Chestnut Tree Hill Road, Oxford, was charged July 1 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on July 1 at approximately 10 a.m. officers were dispatched to an evading a motor vehicle accident in the area of 75 Cherry St. Police reported officers were advised prior to arrival that the accused had fled the scene. Officers found the accused sometime later. The accused was released on $500 non- surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 10.

Elijah Jayreed Cotto, 19, of 29 Alison Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 1 with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 1 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused striking the victim and threatening others. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 2.

William Gabor Treszi, 35, of 78 South St., Waterbury, was charged July 1 with violation of protective order.

No remarks were included with the police reports.

Marla Michelle Levine, 33, of 139 Asylum St., Bridgeport, was charged July 1 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on July 1 at approximately 11:12 a.m. officers responded to an undisclosed location on a complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of a protective order by being in the same residence as the victim. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 2.

Scott Walker, 38, of 56 Beebe St., Naugatuck, was charged July 2 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage.

Police reported on July 2 at approximately 12 a.m. officers were dispatched to an evading a motor vehicle accident in the parking area of 585 Main Bar and Grill at 585 South Main St. Police reported officers were advised that the accused had fled the scene after striking the victim’s vehicle in the parking area. Police reported officers found the accused sometime later. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 13.

Gonzalo Ortiz Jr., 35, of 11 Lines Hill St. Apt. 2R, Naugatuck, was charged July 2 with carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

David A. Plante, 40, of 11 Union City Road, Naugatuck, was charged July 3 with third-degree assault-victim elderly or other and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 3 at approximately 3:45 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was intoxicated. Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 6.

Christian Taylor Manouse, 24, of 8 Rough Wing Road, Naugatuck, was charged July 3 with two counts of third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on July 3 the accused was arrested on active arrest warrants. Police reported the warrants were from vandalism complaints that was reported to Naugatuck police on Nov. 8, 2019, and Dec. 7, 2019. The accused was released on non-surety bonds and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 22.

Michael A. Perez, 24, of 56 Liberty St., Ansonia, was charged July 3 with second-degree threatening, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, first-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of second-degree strangulation.

Police reported on July 2 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused assaulting, strangling and threatening the victim on multiple occasions. Police reported the accused also did not allow the victim to leave. The accused was processed and held on a $75,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 6.

Derrick Fogle, 41, of 16 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged July 3 with disorderly conduct, second-degree harassment, second-degree assault and third-degree assault.

Police reported on July 3 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused harassing, assaulting and threatening the victim on multiple occasions. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 6.

Kamila Justiniano-Gonzalez, 25, of 60 South St. Apt. 2, Waterbury, was charged July 3 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on July 3 at approximately 9:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $351.37 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 19.

Joseph Nicholas Coppola, 43, of 33 Forest St., Naugatuck, was charged July 4 with violation of protective order, second-degree breach of peace, carrying a dangerous weapon, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault.

Police reported on July 4 at approximately 10:38 p.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location on a domestic disturbance. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused punched and choked the victim. Police reported the accused also vandalized a vehicle causing moderate damage. The accused was released on $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 6.

Zackary Thomas Fogarty, 20, of 15 Highland Circle, Naugatuck, was charged July 4 with second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and violation of protective order.

Police reported on July 4 at approximately 3 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical. Police reported the accused was in violation of a standing protective order by being at the residence and by threatening the victim. The accused was arrested released on a $2,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 6.

Luis A. Silva, 39, of 107 Taft Ave., Oakville, was charged July 5 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on July 5 at approximately 3:29 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 48 Walnut St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 6.

Carlos Angel Mauroza, 31, of 346 High St. 2nd Fl., Naugatuck, was charged July 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 5 at approximately 2:30 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim in the side of the head with a closed fist. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 6.
