Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Katherine Monjarrez, 24, of 2928 Forrestal Court, New Port Richey, Fla., was charged May 27 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 27 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $210.21 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.

Anissa Koraiban, 24, of 61 Crown St., Meriden, was charged May 27 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported May 27 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Steven Omar Capers, 24, of 371 Ward St., Wallingford, was charged May 27 with criminal impersonation and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 8:41 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Warren Avenue and New Haven Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of marijuana. Police reported the accused tried to interfere with the officer’s investigation to avoid an arrest warrant by giving the wrong name. The accused was released on a $1,500
non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.

Police reported on May 27 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused threatened the victim on or about May 20. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury
Superior Court on June 24.

Douglas Humphries, 42, of 50 Bridge St., Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with violation of probation.

Police reported on May 28 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.

Ramon Antonio Dejesus, 50, of 499 Brooks St., Bridgeport, was charged May 28 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 28 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a larceny incident involving the accused on or about Nov. 23, 2019. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.

James Anthony Lombardo, 37, of 40 Peaceable St., West Redding, was charged May 29 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 3:06 a.m. officers were dispatched to Mobil gas station, 282 South Main St., on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking area. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 8.

Eric M. Aquavia, 48, of 116 Hickory Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 4:20 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Family Dollar, 799 New Haven Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Police reported the call originated from concerned citizens that stated the accused was causing a problem in Family Dollar and was asked to leave. Police reported the accused was seen by a concerned citizen entering a vehicle while smelling of alcohol. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.

Jack Balzano, 29, of 99 Fern St., Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with third-degree larceny, fifth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trover and evading responsibility-injury/property damage.

Police reported on May 29 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused stole a running motor vehicle outside of a Cumberland Farms gas station at 527 North Main St. in Naugatuck. Police reported the accused caused damage to the vehicle and property due to an accident while fleeing the scene. Police reported the accused also stole the victim’s cellphone that was in the vehicle that was valued at approximately $900. Police reported this incident occurred on or about March 21, 2020. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.

Edward Fullam, 32, of 105 Coen St., Naugatuck, was charged May 30 with second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on May 30 at approximately 11:58 a.m. Naugatuck police responded to the area of the Polish American Club, 199 Bridge St., on a reported suspicious person complaint and possible vandalism on private property. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused “tagged” multiple locations with spray paint and was found with spray paint on his hands and clothes. The accused released on a $2,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Kelly Louise Caisse, 36, of 15 Maple Lane, Wolcott, was charged May 30 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on May 30 at approximately 4:05 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused hit the victim in the head with an ash tray causing injury. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 1.

Lyndell F. Bethea, 44, of 5 Ridge Road Apt. 10, Naugatuck, was charged May 30 with violation of probation and first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 30 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 16.

Police reported on May 30 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 16.

Xavier Nathaniel Parks, 20, of 202 Johnson St., Naugatuck, was charged May 31 with receipt from illegal use of credit card, illegal use of payment card, credit card theft, third-degree identity theft and third-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 31 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused used the victim’s identity credit card to conduct illegal purchases in excess of over $900. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Miles Lee Brihim, 23, of 58 58b Aetna St. 3Fl., Naugatuck, was charged May 31 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on May 31 at approximately 2:09 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was under the influence of marijuana and smoking it with a small juvenile present. Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim in the face causing a black eye. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 1.

Christopher Dale, 55, of 177 Cedar Lane, Beacon Falls, was charged May 27 with illegally carrying a firearm under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, second-degree breach of peace, first-degree threatening and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Wesley A. Burdge, 26, of 16 Fourth St., Beacon Falls, was charged May 28 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Victoria Rose Warfield, 21, of 16 Fourth St., Beacon Falls, was charged May 28 with disorderly conduct.
