Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:
Christopher Donald Scott, 25, of 48 3 Roundtree Drive, Naugatuck, was charged May 11 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on May 11 at approximately 1:06 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. Police reported the accused broke items in the house, which included ripping a railing off of the wall. The accused was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 13.
Jose Manuel Melendez, 41, of 102 Olivia St., Derby, was charged May 12 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, third-degree robbery and second-degree larceny.
Police reported the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident where the accused assaulted and robbed the victim on or about May 1, 2020. The accused was released on a $75,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 13.
Brian Boucher, 35, of 16 Deering Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with third-degree robbery and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 6:51 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. Police reported the accused then took money from the victim and fled the area. The accused was arrested minutes later. The accused was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 13.
Avis Quezada, 38, of 220 Ledgeside Ave., Waterbury, was charged May 13 with violation of probation.
Police reported on May 13 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.
Felicity Sarah Samolis, 20, of 548 Wilson St. Apt. 21, Waterbury, was charged May 13 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on May 13 at approximately 10:25 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused slapped the victim in the face causing a minor injury. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 15.
Dena M. Thornton, 39, of 139 Thorton Drive, Schoharie, N.Y., was charged May 13 with sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on May 13 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused subject illegally conceal $183.28 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the items. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.
Cheryse Kirleen Gonzales, 32, of 648 Soundview Ave., Bridgeport, was charged May 13 with sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on May 13 at approximately 4:12 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused subject illegally conceal $206.21 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the items. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.
Cordell Hambric, 27, of 833 Bunker Hill Ave., Waterbury, was charged May 13 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on May 13 at approximately 8:31 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim. Police reported the victim stated the argument escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused punched the victim in the head, and then fled from the residence. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 15.
Vincent Alexander Demeglio, 29, of 16 Union St., Meriden, was charged May 13 with engaging police in pursuit, reckless driving, interfering with an officer and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny.
Police reported on May 13 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused recklessly engaged officers in pursuit on or about April 19, 2019, in the area of Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, while fleeing the scene after a larceny from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $557.88 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.
Nick Kulikowski, 36, of 21 Hemlock Trail, Oxford, was charged May 14 with two counts of violation of probation.
Police reported on May 14 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on surety bond and scheduled to appear at Derby Superior Court on June 24.
Joshua Charles Clossick, 27, of 96 Coen St., Naugatuck, was charged May 14 with second-degree strangulation, third-degree strangulation, two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of third-degree assault-victim elderly or other.
Police reported on May 14 at approximately 2 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck and choked the victim, who is legally blind.

Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck and choked the victim, who was pregnant at the time. The accused was held on surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 15.
Derrick Hunter-Murray, 28, of 65 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged May 15 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, risk of injury to child, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree stalking and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on May 15 at approximately 12:16 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and slammed her head against a motor vehicle car door. The accused was released on a $15,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 18.
Police reported on May 15 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court on July 6.
Barry James Drapeau, 50, of 93 Irving St., Naugatuck, was charged May 15 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart by motor vehicle resulting in a motor vehicle accident.
Police reported on May 15 at 2:53 p.m. officers were dispatched to area of South Main Street for a reported two-car accident. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused vehicle struck the rear of the victim’s vehicle. The accused and victim then parked in a parking lot awaiting police response. Police reported the officer immediately noticed that the accused appeared to be under the influence. Further investigation showed that the operator was found under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, police reported, and in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.
Cassidy Rose Drapeau, 25, of 93 Irving St., Naugatuck, was charged May 15 with risk of injury to child and possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.
Police reported on May 15 at approximately 6:40 p.m. the Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched to an undisclosed location on a wellbeing check. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused was in possession of controlled substance and was under the influence of heroin. Police reported the accused was in the presence of a juvenile while in this state and unable to care for the juvenile. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 18.

John P. Mulvey, 58, of 73 Country Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 16 with first-degree threatening, carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, disorderly conduct and May 17 with second-degree violation of conditions of release.
Police reported on May 16 at approximately 4:21 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was intoxicated. Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused threatened to kill the victim and the victim’s son. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 18.
Police reported on May 17 at approximately 2:05 p.m. officers responded to an undisclosed location on a violation of conditions of release complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of conditions of release by constantly texting the victim by cell phone. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 18.
Brendan Burns, 32, of 1073 Augusta Drive, Oxford, was charged May 17 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and violation of protective order.
Police reported on May 17 at approximately 1:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking area. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found in the vehicle in the parking area under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Police reported officers discovered that the accused was in violation of a protective order by being at the residence of the protected person. The accused was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.
Angelena Pizzi, 31, of 511 Spring St. Apt. B, Naugatuck, was charged May 17 first-degree criminal trespass and violation of protective order.
Police reported on May 17 at approximately 9:56 a.m. officers responded to an undisclosed location on a violation of a protective order complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of protective order by being at the residence of the victim. Police reported the accused was also trespassing and didn’t have permission to be on the property. The accused was released on a
$5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 18.
Marina Rose Goff, 30, of 166 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged May 17 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on May 17 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was later released on a $100 cash bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 10.
Kyle Dojnia, 29, of 94 Irving St., Naugatuck, was charged May 17 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and violation of protective order.
Police reported on May 17 at approximately 5:58 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was intoxicated. Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused grabbed the victim and threw the victim across the room. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of a protective order by being at the residence of the protected person. Police reported the accused was found minutes later hiding in the woods by the residence. The accused was taken into custody and transported to the station to be processed. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 18.
