Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Kenton Geghan, 49, of 50 Porter St., Watertown, was charged Oct. 17 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Oct. 17 at 1:31 a.m. officers were patrolling Rubber Avenue when they observed vehicle that was idling in the public parking lot across from the 11 Bar at 173 Rubber Ave. During a check of the vehicle, police reported, the occupants appeared unresponsive and impaired. However, upon further investigation and administration of sobriety tests the operator was believed to be operating under the influence and taken into custody, police reported. Geghan was processed and released on a non-surety bond pending his appearance at Waterbury Superior Court.

Latonya Michelle Payton, 48, of 336 Lakewood Road, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 17 with interfering with an officer, first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree breach of peace, possession of controlled substance and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 17 at approximately 5:13 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Payton, with a female accomplice, stole $104.21 worth of merchandise. When they were approached by asset protection, police reported, Payton pushed a customer and attempted to punch the employee. They fled the store and left the area in a vehicle, police reported. The vehicle was located on New Haven Road where the officer conducted a motor vehicle stop. Police reported Payton and female accomplice ran from the vehicle. Payton was caught and taken into custody, police reported. The female accomplice was not located, police reported. There is an ongoing investigation to identify the female accomplice. Police reported Payton was also arrested on an active arrest warrant. Payton was given a court date of Oct. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

William Santana, 63, of 253 E. 202nd St., Bronx, N.Y., was charged Oct. 20 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 20 Santana was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from an incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on April 12, 2018 in which Santana was involved in a larceny from Walmart in which the items stolen totaled approximately $300, police reported. Santana was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.

Gregory F. Datelle, 61, of 36 Deepwood Drive, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 20 with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Oct. 20 Datelle was arrested for threatening a customer at a local service station. The victim advised he stopped at the service station to purchase cigarettes and was wearing a work shirt that Datelle became upset about and the incident escalated, police reported. The victim advised that Datelle threatened to physically harm by “beating” and “killing” the victim, police reported. Datelle was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 31.

Jeffrey S. Grandpre, 55, of 53 Conrad St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 20 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 20 Grandpre was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Grandpre released on a court-ordered $500 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 29.

Christopher Edwards, 29, of 567 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 21 officers responded to a disturbance in which Edwards became involved in a verbal argument with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation. The victim advised that Edwards threw the victim down stairs and grabbed the victim by the throat, police reported. Edwards was given a court date of Oct. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Anthony Thompson, 45, of 174 West Morningside St., East Hartford, was charged Oct. 21 with fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Oct. 21 Thompson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from an incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on Sept. 16 in which Thompson was involved in a larceny from Walmart in which the items stolen totaled $1294.97, police reported. Thompson was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.

Erin K. Kelly, 48, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on Oct. 21 Kelly was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Kelly was held on a court-ordered $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 22.

Yahaira Morales, 42, of 130 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 21 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Oct. 21 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between male and female adults. During the incident, police reported, both subjects stated they became involved in an argument that turned physical. The victim advised that Morales struck him during the incident causing injury, police reported. Morales was given a court to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 22.

Fia Marie Lage, 20, of 48 Francis Drive, Seymour, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Oct. 21 Lage was arrested after being involved in a domestic verbal altercation that became physical outside a local bar. The victim advised that they were slapped during the altercation, police reported. Lage was given a court date of Oct. 22 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.

Ngawang Dhondup, 52, of 207 City Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 2:29 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Dhondup was involved in a physical altercation with the victim. Police reported Dhondup struck and kicked the victim causing a bruise to the victim’s leg. Dhondup was given a court date of Oct. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Jonathan Rivera, 23, of 89 Southview St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 22 with third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Rivera was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a stolen vehicle complaint made on Sept. 5, 2017. Police reported Rivera traded vehicles with the victim. The victim later learned the vehicle in his possession was stolen, police reported. Rivera was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court set $5,000 surety bond.

Jaclyn Marie Kichar, 32, of 630 Howe Ave., Shelton, was charged Oct. 22 with sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 6:43 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Kichar stole clothing valued at $38.88. Kichar was not allowed in Walmart due to past larcenies in the store, police reported. Kichar was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

Christopher A. Main, 37, of 25 Hotchkiss Place, Torrington, was charged Oct. 23 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 23 at approximately 12 p.m. Main was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported at Walmart on April 28, 2018. Police reported Main stole $176.93 worth of merchandise. When Main was approached by a store employee, police reported, he fled the area. The merchandise was recovered on scene by a store employee. Main was given a court date of Nov. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Peter Martonick, 50, of 18 Baldwin St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 23 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 23 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Martonick was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny from Walmart that occurred on Sept. 19, 2018. Police reported Martonick stole $69 worth of Red Bull. Martonick was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Robert R. Carson, 36, of 19 Spruce Drive, Shelton, was charged Oct. 13 with driving under the influence.

Elise Mary Gamauf, 20, of 9 Nancy Lynn Lane, Oxford, was charged Oct. 19 with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle.

David A. Lucisano, 25, of 6 Scott Road, Prospect, was charged Oct 19 with 12 counts of second-degree failure to appear.
