Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Angelika Bakota, 21, of 27 Wopowog Trail, Shelton, was charged Feb. 19 with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 19 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant after being picked up from York Correctional. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused fraudulently stole money from several accounts over a period of time with an accomplice. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 19.

Xavier Nathaniel Parks, 20, of 202 Johnson St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 20 with second-degree failure to appear and second-degree violation of condition of release.

Police reported on Feb. 20 officers responded to a residence to serve an active PRAWN warrant. Upon arrival, police reported, the accused was taken into custody. Police reported it was later learned that the accused failed to appear on an initial domestic charge. Police reported the accused also violated the conditions of release set forth by the Naugatuck Police Department since he was found in the victim’s residence at the time of his arrest. The accused was held on surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 21.

Olivia Marie Santana, 21, of 16 Adaline St., New Haven, was charged Feb. 20 with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 20 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant after being picked up from West Haven Police Department. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused fraudulently stole money from several accounts over a period of time with an accomplice. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Sincere Redman, 20, of 790 Capital Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Feb. 20 with third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 20 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused tried to sell stolen items on the web that were initially stolen from a motor vehicle. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Bethany J. Boles, 42, of 43 Dorman St., New Haven, was charged Feb. 21 with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 2:43 a.m. officers were dispatched to Oak Terrace housing complex at 53 Conrad St. for a suspicious motor vehicle complaint. Police reported the accused was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. During the investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury
Superior Court on Feb. 21

Brian A. Small, 81 Collis St., West Haven, was charged Feb. 21 with interfering with an officer, second-degree failure to appear and three counts of first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 2:43 a.m. officers were dispatched to Oak Terrace housing complex at 53 Conrad St. for a suspicious motor vehicle complaint. Police reported an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation at this time. During the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused ran from the vehicle due to having multiple PRAWN arrest warrants to evade capture. Police reported the accused was found hours later in the downtown area and taken into custody. The accused was held on bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.

Stacy A. Posa, 43, of 57 Cutler St., Watertown, was charged Feb. 21 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 21 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Luis Angel Pumarejo, 52, of 212 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 21 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was released surety bonds and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Shane C. Lyskowski, 23, of 4 Dellwood Drive, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 22 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 22 at approximately 1:19 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of South Main Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 5.

Jose Pinto, 53, of 163 High Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 22 with violation of criminal protective order.

Police reported on Feb. 22 at approximately 8:41 p.m. officers responded to a violation of a protective order complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of a protective order by going by the residence of the protected person. The accused was released on a $1,500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.

William Joseph Milot, 30, of 33 Rawley Ave., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 22 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 22 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Harris Johnson, 47, of 68 Summit Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 23 with criminal attempt at criminal impersonation.

Police reported at approximately 11:32 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue in Naugatuck. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and interfered with the officer’s investigation by giving the wrong name. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Oliver K. Goldsmith, 38, of 17a Burlington Road, Harwinton, was charged Feb. 23 with conspiracy to commit illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 23 at approximately 1:19 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of at Route 8 North at Exit 29. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while passing in a no passing zone. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury
Superior Court on March 12.

Edwin Gonzalez, 73, of 57 Barn Finch Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 23 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 23 at approximately 1:19 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Cherry Street at Scott Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while making an improper turn. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 12.

Bryan Kristin Swift, 41, of 68 Redwood Drive, Bethel, was charged Feb. 23 with second-degree failure to appear, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, fourth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 23 at approximately 3:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $1,074.98 worth of items and exit the store without paying for them. Police reported the accused was caught a few minutes later on Route 8 North in a motor vehicle in Naugatuck and taken into custody. Police reported a search of the vehicle also revealed stolen merchandise from Target in the accused’s possession. Police reported the accused was also arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 3 and March 4.

Stephanie Marie Perez, 20, of 90 Oak St. Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 23 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 23 at approximately 4:19 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused punched the victim several times. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior court on Feb. 24.

Timothy O’Donnell, 56, of 155 Evening Star Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 23 with violation of protective order and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 23 officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During the incident, police reported, the victim and the accused stated they became involved in an argument that escalated to where the accused had threatened to crack the victim’s head on the stair railing. Police reported the accused was also highly intoxicated at the time of the incident and arrest. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.
