Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Josef A. Arreaga, 25, of 127 Melbourne St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 10 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 10 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident where the accused caused a disturbance at his residence on Nov. 26, 2019. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 11.

Jacqueline Arroyo, 44, of 30 Hartley Drive, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 10 with failure to insure private motor vehicle.

Police reported on Feb. 10 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a private property motor vehicle accident on Dec. 19, 2019, where the accused failed to have proper insurance on her vehicle. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 20.

Kevin Savage, 27, of 34 Jane St. Apt. 2, Bridgeport, was charged Feb. 11 with illegal possession of narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Feb. 11 at approximately 3:10 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Spencer Street and Lewis Street. Police reported the stop occurred in an area where there has been recent stolen vehicles and vehicle burglaries. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be the passenger in the motor vehicle. Police reported the accused was found in possession of an illegal narcotic and drug paraphernalia. The accused was held on a $1,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 11.

Jose Luis Maldonado, 44, of 146 Nichols Drive, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 11 with illegal possession of narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Feb. 11 at approximately 3:10 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Spencer Street and Lewis Street. Police reported the stop occurred in an area where there has been recent stolen vehicles and vehicle burglaries. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while in possession of an illegal narcotic and drug paraphernalia. The accused was held on a $1,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 11.

Juan Manuel Rivera, 42, of 1132 Howard Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Feb. 13 with violation of protective order and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 5:26 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the downtown area of Naugatuck. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was a passenger in the vehicle. Police reported the accused was in violation of a standing protective order by being with the victim in the vehicle. Police reported the accused also interfered with the investigation by trying to give a false name to officers on scene. The accused was released on a $1,500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Kayla Skye Bass, 23, of 2810 East Main St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 13 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 9:15 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Joseph Yurksaitis, 51, of 5 Arch St. 1Fl., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 13 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis and failure to keep narcotic in original container.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 9:59 p.m. officers were dispatched to 480 Millville Ave. Unit 3L (Hutt Housing) for an unwanted person in a residence. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused was in possession of a controlled substance and narcotics not in its original container. The accused was held on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury
Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Juan Figueroa, 37, of 205 Osborn Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 13 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on Feb. 13 at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated when the accused broke and threw items throughout the residence. Police reported the accused also interfered with a 911 call by snatching the phone from the victim’s hands to stop the victim from calling police for assistance. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Christopher James Emanuel, 30, of 11 May St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 13 with three counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 13 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Stephanie Rodriguez, 33, of 43 Coe St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 14 with possession of controlled substance or half ounce of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 12:40 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 500 South Main St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police reported the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Michelle Lee Keese, 42, of 440 Meriden Road 121, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 14 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 12:41 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 229 Church St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failing to obey the traffic control signals, and while traveling unreasonably fast. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 27.

Marsha Bryant, 51, of 54 Wildwood Ave. Apt. 2, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 14 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 14 at approximately 1:09 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the Maple Street area of Naugatuck. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while not using a proper signal. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 27.

Aaron Thomas Duquette, 29, 185 Osborn Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 15 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 15 at approximately 12:38 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in front of 178 North Main St. in Naugatuck. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to comply with the state traffic commission. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 26.

Christopher P. Remillard, 29, of 29 South Main St. Apt. 201, Branford, was charged Feb. 15 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused was highly intoxicated, assaulted three victims, and created a disturbance at the house party. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 26.

Patrick T. Dacosta, 27, of 159 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 15 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 15 at approximately 3:16 a.m. the Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched to the area of 248 High St. for a report of an assault between several adult males and some adult females at a house party. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused was highly intoxicated, assaulted the victims, and created a disturbance at the house party. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 26.

Daireny Leonardo-Feliz, 19, of 31 Plaza Ave., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 15 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 15 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused conceal merchandise totaling over $219.59 and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 26.

Travis Joseph Bioski, 22, of 57 Towantic Hill Road, Oxford, was charged Feb. 15 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 15 at approximately 5:55 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in front of 218 Prospect St. in Naugatuck. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to adhere to local parking restrictions. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 27.

Amy Patricia Bennett, 46, of 83 Memorial Drive, Danbury, was charged Feb. 15 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 15 at approximately 11:20 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the Cherry Street area of Naugatuck. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during improper use of a high beam head lamp. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 27.

Roderick Manuel, 24, of 40 Austin St. Apt. 208, New Haven, was charged Feb. 16 with disorderly conduct, third-degree strangulation and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Feb. 16 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused was involved in a physical domestic with the victim where the accused also held the victim against her will. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 18.

Eileen A. Colangelo, 42, of 114 Knollwood Road, Newington, was charged Feb. 16 with third-degree identity theft and third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 16 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused used the victim’s name to acquire accounts for services. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 26.

Carlos Reyes, 32, of 79 Melbourne St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 16 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Feb. 16 the accused was arrested on an active failure to respond to a payable violation arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $500 cash/surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 27.

Michael Saladino, 60, of 196 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 17 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Feb. 17 at approximately 10:38 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Upon the officers’ arrival, police reported, they could immediately see that the accused was highly intoxicated. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. Police reported the accused did not strike the victim, but did punch several holes in the walls. Police reported the accused, according to the victim, was getting more aggressive as he continued to drink more alcohol. The accused was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 18.

Samuel Daniel, 19, of 101 Ward St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 18 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Feb. 18 the accused was arrested on an active failure to respond to an infraction arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $35 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 4.

Benjamin Valentin, 31, of 150 Manhan St. Apt. 3, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 18 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 18 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 26.
