Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Kevin Vazquez-Vazquez, 24, of 362 Colonial Ave., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 3 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 2:30 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, Vazquez-Vazquez was found to be in possession of narcotics. He was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Anthony Xavier Vazquez-Vazquez, 29, of 362 Colonial Ave., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 3 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 2:30 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, Vazquez-Vazquez was found to be in possession of narcotics. He was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Kevin Howie, 60, of 46 Applewood Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 3 with disorderly conduct, second-degree threatening and violation of protective order.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 3:49 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Howie damaged a bedroom door. Police reported Howie threatened to harm the victim. Howie was given a court date of Oct. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 4:20 p.m. officers responded to a violation of a protective order complaint. Police reported Howie was located on the victim’s property, which was in violation of an active protective order. Howie was given a court date of Oct. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

Scott Shappy, 51, of 19 Christian Hill Road, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 3 with third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on Oct. 3 Shappy was arrested on active arrest warrants. Shappy was given a court date of Oct. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Monica M. Tardy, 32, of 79 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 3 with third-degree identity theft, sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft and illegal use of credit card.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 4 p.m. Tardy was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Sept. 4, 2018. Police reported Tardy made unauthorized purchases with the victim’s credit cards. Tardy was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Jessica Marie Martin, 32, of 10 Lines Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 3 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 4:15 p.m. Martin was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Derby. Martin was given a court date of Oct. 11 to appear at Derby Superior Court and released on a $750 surety bond.

Latoya Barfield, 30, of 3 Wood St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 3 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 4:46 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Barfield was arrested on the above listed charge. Barfield was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Luis A. Camacho, 53, of 96 Davis Drive, Bristol, was charged Oct. 3 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 7:26 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious person complaint on Greenwood Street. Police reported Camacho was located and found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant. Camacho was given a court date of Oct. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

Jazmine T. Hunter, 29, of 1793 North Main St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 3 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 9:03 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Hunter stole $68.24 worth of merchandise. Hunter was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

George A. Kratzert, 23, of 26 Deer Run Lane, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 4 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 11:16 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Kratzert stole $176.23 worth of merchandise. Kratzert was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Anthony Sullivan, 37, was charged Oct. 4 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 12 a.m. Sullivan was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Sullivan was given a court date of Oct. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $500 surety bond.

Linda Rose Burgos, 34, of 77 Plaza Ave., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 4 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 1:40 a.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Burgos stole $62.82 worth of merchandise. Burgos was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

Julio Sosa, 51, of 1606 Baldwin St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 4 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 3:54 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. Police reported Sosa was identified as the operator of the vehicle and found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant. Sosa was given a court date of Oct. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

Jessica Rae Chandler, 31, of 17 Prospect Place, Torrington, was charged Oct. 4 with first-degree failure to appear and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 7:45 a.m. Chandler turned herself in an active arrest warrants. Chandler was given a court date of Oct. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

James R. Aho, 40, of 43 Powder Mill Road, Stratford, was charged Oct. 4 with four counts of first-degree sexual assault, six counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16, two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, four counts of risk of injury to child, and second-degree strangulation.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 2:51 p.m. Aho was arrested on two active arrest warrants for a sexual assault complaint made on Aug. 6, 2018. Police reported Aho sexually assaulted the juvenile victim, which is known to him. Aho was given a court date of Oct. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Jason Wallace, 46, of 39 Norton St., Bristol, was charged Oct. 5 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 9:07 a.m. Wallace was arrested on an active arrest warrant during a motor vehicle investigation. Wallace was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $50 cash bond.

Alexander C. Carneiro, 24, of 51 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 5 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 12:59 p.m. Carneiro was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Dec. 8, 2017. Police reported Carneiro stole a bottle of alcohol from a local liquor store worth $17.99. Carneiro was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Andrew Dennis, 29, of 259 Oakville Ave., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 5 with possession with intent to sell and illegal possession of narcotic.

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 12:57 p.m. Dennis was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a narcotic violation. Police reported the investigation determined Dennis was distributing narcotics within Naugatuck. Dennis was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $20,000 surety bond.

Richard Clarence Timms, 42, of 21 Harland Ave, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 5 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 6:11 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Timms stole $140.21 worth of merchandise. When Timms was approached by asset protection he left the store, police reported. The merchandise was recovered on scene. An officer located Timms on New Haven Road where he was taken into custody, police reported. Timms was given a court date of Oct. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Maria Dejesus Rosario, 50, of 40 Vermont St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 5 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear and sixth-degree larceny

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 7:48 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Rosario stole jewelry and clothing valued at $64.72. Police reported Rosario was also arrested on active arrest warrants. Rosario was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Westly Adam Lopes, 34, of 114 Benedict St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 6 with second-degree strangulation, second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Oct. 6 at approximately 2:43 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Lopes punched the victim and also strangled her. The victim sustained injuries to her eye, nose and mouth, police reported. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Lopes was given a court date of Oct. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $75,000 surety bond.

Jason Harnish, 45, of 395 Britney Farms Road, New Britain, was charged Oct. 6 with driving under the influence and drinking while driving.

Police reported on Oct. 6 at approximately 8:59 p.m. officers responded to South Main Street for an erratic driver. The officer located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Harnish was operating under the influence of alcohol. Harnish was given a court date of Oct. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Kongolo Mukendi, 33, of 292 Chamberlain Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Oct. 6 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Oct. 6 at approximately 9:44 p.m. an officer responded to Hazel Avenue for a suspicious motor vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, Mukendi was arrested on the above listed charges. Mukendi was given a court date of Oct. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Isa Redzepi, 30, of 120 Warren Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 8 with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Oct. 8 at approximately 3:26 p.m. officers responded to a burglary. The victim observed Redzepi enter his home on his security camera, without permission, police reported. Redzepi is known to the victim. Police reported Redzepi was accompanied by a juvenile. Redzepi was given a court date of Oct. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $20,000 surety bond.

Alexia Marie Milroy, 23, of 25 Emerald Place, Stratford, was charged Oct. 9 with possession of controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Oct. 9 at approximately 2:48 a.m. an officer investigated a suspicious motor vehicle on Cross Street. Police reported Milroy was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, Milroy was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Milroy was given a court date of Oct. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,000 surety bond.

Ronald Paul Barrows, 39, of 100 Jefferson Square, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 9 with violation of protective order, first-degree failure to appear and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 9 at approximately 5 a.m. Barrows turned himself in on an active arrest warrant and was arrested on the above listed charges. Barrows was given a court date of Oct. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Michael A. Korzen, 31, of 440 South Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 9 with sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer, use of motor vehicle without permission, second-degree breach of peace and violation or protective order.

Police reported on Oct. 9 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Korzen was arrested on the above listed charges. Korzen was given a court date of Oct. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

Cynthia Akinsanya-Lundkvist, 33, of 38 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 9 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 9 Akinsanya-Lundkvist, was arrested on active arrest warrants. Akinsanya-Lundkvist, was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.
