Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Tiri Sean Brown, 34, of 1625 Fulton St. C209, Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged Oct. 28 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 28 the accused was arrested on an active (PRAWN) re-arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $400 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 6.

Jeffrey Montini, 41, of 31 Ridge Road Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 28 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Oct. 28 at approximately 4:28 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the area of 31 Ridge Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused had a verbal argument with the victims where he threatened to harm an adult and two juveniles. Police reported the accused was intoxicated at the time of the incident. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Jessica Ruggles, 37, of 383 Wilson St. Apt. 2, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 28 with third-degree larceny and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Oct. 28 at approximately 6:21 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Benjamin Cruz, 41, of 21 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 29 with second-degree criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on Oct. 29 at approximately 5:38 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance at an undisclosed residence. During an argument, police reported, the accused had a verbal argument with the victim that turned physical. During the argument, police reported, the victim tried to call 911 and the accused interfered with the call. Police reported the accused also caused damage to the victim’s personal items. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 30.

Colin Gary Sheedy, 20, of 50 Debbie Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 29 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Oct. 29 at approximately 11:17 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 14.

Jonique R. Soler, 31, of 22 Atwood Lane, Plainfield, was charged Oct. 30 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 30 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant while in custody at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused stole multiple items from Walmart with an accomplice on Sept. 22, 2018. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct 30.

Dana Patrick Schultze, 44, of 437 East Main St. A 2 1, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 30 with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 30 at approximately 4:09 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. Police reported the warrant stemmed from a larceny/burglary incident that was reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Oct. 1, 2019 where the accused stole items from a residence. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 31.

Tara Lynn Kotsaftis, 44, of 40 Ridge Road Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 30 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Oct. 30 at approximately 8:23 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Route 8 North at Exit 29. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Ruben Gonzalez, 61, of 29 Saddmills Road, Ellington, was charged Oct. 31 with third-degree burglary.

Police reported on Oct. 31 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from a burglary incident where the accused stole multiple items from a residence. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 31.

Tyrone Brown, 24, of 12 Stevens St. Apt. 2, New Haven, was charged Oct. 31 with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 31 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from a stolen motor vehicle incident where the accused stole a motor vehicle with an accomplice. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 31.

Ryan Hank Klies, 26, of 29 Warren Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 31 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Oct. 31 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Stan Morgan, 46, of 1 New St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 31 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 31 at approximately 10:04 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical. The accused was released on a $1,500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 1.

Michael Keith Jordan, 34, of 1304 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 1 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Nov. 1 at approximately 9:55 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with staff members that escalated. Police reported the accused broke a lamp and caused damage to the doorway after kicking in the rear door. Police reported the accused’s escalated behavior and threats caused him to be arrested for the listed charges. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Jordan Savage, 24, of 130 Woodglen Drive Apt. 4, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 2 with use of motor vehicle without permission.

Police reported on Nov. 2 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused took the victim’s motor vehicle without permission sometime on or about Aug. 12, 2019. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

Tara Rescigno, 41, of 50 Summit Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 2 with interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Nov. 2 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused failed to cooperate with a police investigation. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Robert Charles Macmullen, 52, of 426 Wolcott Road, Wolcott, was charged Nov. 2 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, reckless driving, possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, engaging police in pursuit, second-degree reckless endangerment and drinking while driving.

Police reported on Nov. 2 at approximately 9:37 p.m. an officer attempted a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Cross Street by the Naugatuck Motor Lodge. Police reported the accused was not stopping his vehicle when the officer initiated his overhead lights and siren. Police reported the vehicle had no front driver side tire and was driving on its rim. The vehicle began to increase its speed and started striking curbs and construction cones until striking additional cones in the Naugatuck Motor Lodge parking area, police reported. The vehicle finally stopped and the accused exited the vehicle with his hands up. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle in a reckless manner while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Police reported it was also found that the accused was in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court at a later date.

Mark Trombetta, 36, of 66-3 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 3 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Nov. 3 at approximately 1:33 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Lantern Park Drive. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 14.

William Allyn Costello, 42, of 130 Holly St., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 3 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Nov. 3 at approximately 1:48 AM an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 69 Rubber Ave. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 14.

Desean Maurice McBride, 28, of 348 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 4 with disorderly conduct, risk of injury to child and second-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on Nov. 4 at approximately 12:13 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused closed the victim’s hand in a dresser drawer and also pushed her head back forcefully. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 4.

Velvet Maria Roman, 37, of 92 Blake St., New Haven, was charged Nov. 5 with theft of plates/inserts.

Police reported on Nov. 5 at approximately 6:26 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of North Church Street by the bridle trail. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating an uninsured motor vehicle with a suspended license and stolen registration plates. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 21.
