Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

James Carlin Ebron, 31, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 3 with first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree larceny and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 3 at approximately 3:06 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that was returned. The victim reported her vehicle was stolen in Waterbury two days prior by Ebron, police reported. Ebron is known to the victim. Police reported Ebron returned the vehicle and entered her residence without permission. The officer found Ebron hiding in the victim’s home, police reported. Ebron was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

Timothy Earl Morris, 57, of 27 Irion St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 3 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 3 at approximately 4:22 p.m. officers responded to Big Y for a larceny complaint. Police reported Morris stole $67.41 worth of merchandise. Morris was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $500 surety bond.

Jonathan Randall Gordon, 23, of 9 Warwick Lane, East Haven, was charged Sept. 3 with third-degree assault, second-degree burglary, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Sept. 3 at approximately 7:21 p.m. officers responded to North Main Street for a disturbance. Police reported Gordon was intoxicated and involved in an altercation with the victim. During the altercation inside the victim’s residence, police reported, the victim was able to push Gordon onto the porch. Police reported Gordon damaged the door by breaking the windows. When the officers were on scene, police reported Gordon threatened to harm the victim. Gordon was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

Hernan Aponte, 30, of 1 Larson Drive, Danbury, was charged Sept. 3 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Sept. 3 at approximately 11:59 p.m. Aponte was arrested for the above listed charges.

Amy M. Yarrington, 36, of 46 Sharon Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 4 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 4 Yarrington was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Yarrington was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 12.

John J. Durley, 46, of 74 Munson Road, Bethany, was charged Sept. 4 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 4 Durley was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Durley was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 12.

Walter P. Gogolya, 41, of 7 Benton Road, Morris, was charged Sept. 5 with failure to insure private motor vehicle.

Police reported on Sept. 4 at approximately 1:15 a.m. Gogolya was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported Gogolya was given a court date of Sept. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Selma Sejdi, 19, of 65 6 Bentwood Drive, Waterbury, was charged Sept. 5 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 1:48 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Sejdi stole $204.40 worth of merchandise. Sejdi was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Martin Utitus, 46, of 16 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 5 with first-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 4:28 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Utitus stole merchandise. Utitus was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Ladarrius Phillips, 22, of 2717 39th Ave., Tuscaloosa, Ala., was charged Sept. 5 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 3:53 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Phillips stole $115.46 worth of merchandise. Phillips was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Alicia Rolanda Knox, 23, of 285 Sabin Ave., West Haven, was charged Sept. 5 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 3:53 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Knox stole $115.46 worth of merchandise. Knox was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a
$500 non-surety bond.

Anthony Justin Garcia, 20, of 863 Woodward Ave., New Haven, was charged Sept. 5 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 9:48 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, Garcia was identified as the operator of the vehicle. It was determined he was in violation of a protective order because the protected party was a passenger in the vehicle. Garcia was given a court date of Sept. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Isabella Acampora-Vargas, 20, of 171 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 5 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 9:48 p.m. Acampora-Vargas was arrested on the above listed charges. Acampora-Vargas was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Matthew A. Towle, 36, of 2636 South Main St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 6 with sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Sept. 6 at approximately 2:06 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Towle stole a drill, batteries and a watch, and left the area on a mountain bike. The total amount of merchandise stolen was $107.07, police reported. An officer located Towle on New Haven Road, who attempted to flee, police reported. Towle was stopped and taken into custody. Towle was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Lauren E. Petti, 33, of 29 Talmadge Hill Road, Prospect, was charged Sept. 6 with third-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 6 at approximately 3 p.m. Petti turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on May 29, 2018. Police reported Petti cashed a business check for the amount of $988.00 without permission. The company’s check was acquired through a former employee whose employment was terminated by the business, police reported. Petti was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Benjamin Valentin, 29, of 150 Manhan St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 7 with driving under the influence and illegal possession of weapon in motor vehicle.

Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 12:28 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Valentin was operating under the influence. Police reported Valentin was found to be in possession of a Taser. Valentin was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
Jessica Marie Martin, 32, of 10 Lines Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 7 with second-degree failure to appear.

David Albelo-Guadalupe, 32, of 23 Munson Ave., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 7 with third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 6 p.m. Albelo-Guadalupe was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Nov. 6, 2017 from Solutions with Innovations. Police reported Albelo-Guadalupe was a former employee of the business and stole from the business. Albelo-Guadalupe was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Nefertiti Nicole Hernandez, 36, of 84 Charles St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 7 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 7:14 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, Hernandez was identified in the vehicle. Hernandez was found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant. Hernandez was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $250 cash bond.

Richard Markham, 47, of 29 Wills Road, Newtown, was charged Sept. 7 with reckless driving, interfering with an officer, illegal possession of weapon in a motor vehicle and engaging police in pursuit.

Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 9 p.m. Markham was stopped at a DUI checkpoint on Salem Bridge. Police reported Markham was advised to pull to the side of the road by the officer and he accelerated away. Markham was located on a nearby street and taken into custody. Markham was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Rafael Hernandez, 63, of 304 Moran St. Unit 1, Waterbury, was charged Sept. 7 with first-degree assault, first-degree assault on a pregnant female, home invasion, two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and criminal mischief.

Alec Shepherd, 19, of 11 Fairfield Court, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 8 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 11:57 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Salem Bridge. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Shepherd was operating under the influence of narcotics. Shepherd was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Sabrina Barbara Matos, 23, of 20 Rockland Ave., Oakville, was charged Sept. 8 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Sept. 8 at approximately 2:20 a.m. an officer investigated a domestic disturbance. During an argument in a vehicle, police reported, they were engaged in a physical altercation. Minor injuries were reported by both of the parties. Matos was given a court date of Sept. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Samantha Matos, 26, of 20 Rockland Ave., Oakville, was charged Sept. 8 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Sept. 8 at approximately 2:20 a.m. an officer investigated a domestic disturbance. During an argument in a vehicle, police reported, they were engaged in a physical altercation. Minor injuries were reported by both of the parties. Matos was given a court date of Sept. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Jose L. Jimenez, 43, of 22 Cypress St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 9 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Sept. 9 Jimenez turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Jimenez was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $250 cash bond.

John Wrigley, 35, of 15 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 9 with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening, third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on Sept. 9 at approximately 5:07 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Wrigley hit the victim, causing a laceration to her chin. Wrigley was given a court date of Sept. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

Carmen Rivera, 39, of 20 Tolles Square, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 11 Rivera was arrested on the above listed charges. Rivera was given a court date of Sept. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond.

Edward R. Cole, 55, of 25 Baldwin St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 11:33 a.m. officers responded to an assault. Police reported Cole struck the victim with a squeegee causing injury to the victim’s eye and leg. Cole is known to the victim, police reported. Cole was given a court date of Sept 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Isaiah N. Thomas, 30, of 41 Holmes Ave., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 11 with criminal possession of a firearm, ammunition or an electronic defense weapon

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 2 p.m. Thomas was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a weapon law violation. During an execution of a search warrant, police reported, was found to be in possession of ammunition. Thomas was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $75,000 surety bond.

Isaiah A. Freeman, 27, of 1857 North Main St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 11 with second-degree failure to appear and two counts of violation of probation.

Police reported on Sept. 11 Freeman was arrested on active arrest warrants. Freeman was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Jessica S. Evans, 28, of 1059 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, was charged Sept. 11 with interfering with an officer, fifth-degree larceny and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 4:09 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny. Police reported Evans stole $700 worth of merchandise. When the officer was placing Evans under arrest, police reported she actively resisted the officer. During the investigation, police reported, Evans was found to be in possession of narcotics. Evans was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Murat T. Buyuklu, 53, of 211 Popes Island Road, Milford, was charged Sept. 11 with willfully performing craftsman work without a license.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 5:51 p.m. Buyuklu was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for performing unlicensed trade work. Police reported Buyuklu installed a fire suppression system in a local business that was found not to be done to code. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Buyuklu was not a licensed contractor. Buyuklu was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at
Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Selina Ariana Medina, 22, of 33 Young St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 11 with sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 11:04 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Medina stole $33.62 worth of merchandise. Police reported Medina gave the officer a false name when he initially made contact with her. Medina was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Brenden Tyrell Benway, 21, of was charged Sept. 11 with sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer and violation of protective order.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 11:04 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Benway stole $33.62 worth of merchandise. Police reported Benway gave the officer a false name when he initially made contact with him. Benway was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.
