Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Jonathan McKnight, 50, of 22 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 15 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 3:19 p.m. McKnight was arrested on an active arrest warrant. McKnight was given a court date of Aug. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $25,000 surety bond.

Gerald B. Fullwood III, 31, of 138 Graham Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 15 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 7:55 p.m. Fullwood was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Fullwood was given a court date of Aug. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $522 surety bond.

Jason Brown, 30, of 262 Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 15 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 10:10 p.m. Brown was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on July 8, 2018. During an argument, police reported, Brown damaged the victim’s property. Police reported Brown kicked an air conditioner and bent a cell phone case. Police reported Brown also grabbed the victim causing a bruise on her arm. Brown was given a court date of Aug. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Nirali Patel, 33, of 19 Summit St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 15 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 11:40 p.m. Patel turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on June 18, 2018. Police reported Patel was employed by Planet Fitness and stole money from the business. The total amount stole was $1,565.06. Patel was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Tiawana Yvette Gatling, 43, of 2006 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury, was charged Aug. 16 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported Gatling was taken into custody subsequent to a traffic stop after it was it was determined the accused had two outstanding re-arrest warrants for failure to appear. Gatling was scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 29.

Jennifer Waters, 35, of 42 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 16 with sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported Waters was taken into custody after Walmart loss prevention alleged that she took merchandise from its packaging and began to conceal it on her person. Additionally, police reported, Waters was previously issued a no trespass warning which was violated by her presence at the store. Waters was released on bond pending her appearance at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 29.

Frank Morain, 50, of 1 Schmitz Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 16 with third-degree assault and first-degree threatening.

Police reported Morain was taken into custody subsequent to a traffic stop after it was it was determined he had an outstanding arrest warrant held by the agency. The warrant stems from an incident in July when Morain, who was contracted for building repairs at a residence, became involved in an argument with the victim over the project’s payment, police reported. Police reported Morain is alleged to have punched the victim in the face and threatened to harm him over outstanding payment. Morain was released on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 29.

Anthony Justin Garcia, 20, of 171 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 18 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 18 at approximately 10:07 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Garcia pushed the victim. Garcia was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Dario Rodrigues, 33, of 193 Rubber Ave., was charged Aug. 18 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 18 at approximately 7:37 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Police reported a witness stated she was driving on Rubber Avenue when she observed Rodrigues pulling the victim out of a vehicle. Rodrigues was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Travis Waldo, 37, of 35 General Patton Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 18 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 18 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Waldo was arrested on active arrest warrants. Waldo was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on court-set surety bonds.

Muhamed Nikocevic, 21, of 112 Proctor St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 19 with four counts of second-degree failure to appear, first-degree falsely reporting an incident, misuse of the emergency 911 system, two counts of violation of protective order, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on Aug. 19 at approximately 9:34 p.m. officers responded to a report of gunshots in the neighborhood of the victim. Based on the investigation, police reported, it was determined Nikocevic reported a false incident over the 911 system to cause annoyance to the victim. At approximately 10:30 p.m., police reported, Nikocevic was arrested on active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a violation of a protective order reported on July 24, 2018. Police reported Nikocevic contacted the victim through social media, which was in violation of an active protective order. Nikocevic was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Kevin Thomas Brown, 24, of 617 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 21 at approximately 12:17 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, the victim exited the home and Brown locked the doors. The victim was locked outside the home. Brown eventually allowed the victim back into the home, where the arguing continued, police reported. Brown was given a court date of Aug. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a
$7,500 surety bond.

Jessica N. Gonzalez, 29, of 326 Hanover St., Meriden, was charged Aug. 21 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 21 at approximately 1:40 a.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Gonzalez, with a female accomplice, stole $174.26 worth of merchandise. They left the store and were located at a gas station on New Haven Road, police reported. The merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. Gonzalez was given a court date of Aug. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Lindsey M. Atwater, 33, of 27 Powder Hill Road, Middlefield, was charged Aug. 21 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 21 at approximately 1:40 a.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Atwater, with a female accomplice, stole $174.26 worth of merchandise. They left the store and were located at a gas station on New Haven Road, police reported. The merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. Atwater was given a court date of Aug. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Robert Walkley, 53, of 19 Mead Farm Road, Seymour, was charged Aug. 21 with second-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 21 at approximately 9 a.m. Walkley was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a past domestic disturbance, which was reported on May 8, 2018. During an argument, police reported, Walkley slapped the victim causing injury to her ear drum. Walkley was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.
