Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Irving J. Rogers, 53, of 132 Park Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 9 with reckless driving, two counts of illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension-alcohol, following too closely, two counts of drinking while driving and two counts illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence.

The accused was held on a $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 10.

James Thompson, 58, of 35a Jennings Way, New Haven, was charged Sept. 9 with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree mischief.

The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Harvey Javier Nelson, 26, of 191 Dupont Place, Bridgeport, was charged Sept. 9 with fourth-degree larceny, third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.

The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Makai Zhaquan Curry, 21, of 39 Horton Hill Road Apt. 3A, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 9 with violation of protective order and disorderly conduct.

The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Khadigha Smith, 27, of 26 Kefe St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 9 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, operating motor vehicle without license and transferring child without restraint.

The accused was held on a bonds totaling $990 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 10.

Ryan John Morgan, 28, of 4 Hart Court, Oxford, was charged Sept. 10 with illegal possession of weapon in motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 22.

Jennifer J. Howard, 33, of 130 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 10 with fourth-degree larceny.

Bond was set at $1,000 and the accused was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 22.

Miguel G. Sanchez, 28, of 173 Rubber Ave. 2Fl., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with second-degree breach of peace.

The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 22.

Karina Marie Lord, 28, of 173 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with risk of injury to child, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 22.

Kayla Mari Sanchez, 24, of 18 Harvest Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 13.

Justin Vanderbilt Thompson, 24, of 248 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 12 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 13.

Xavier Nathaniel Parks, 22, of 202 Johnson St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 13 with second-degree failure to appear and first-degree failure to appear.

The accused was held on bonds totaling $6,500 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 13.

Daniel Zandvliet, 34, of 223 Meadow St. Apt. 6, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 13 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage and risk of injury to child.

The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 22.

Jeremy Andino, 27, of 13 Walnut St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with two counts of violation of probation, risk of injury to a child, interfering with an officer/resisting, and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

The accused was held and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 15.

David Roberts, 45, of 35 East Waterbury Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with violation of protective order.

The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 15.

Celiz Janeth Velasco, 40, of 99 Galpin Ave. Apt. 1N, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with sixth-degree larceny.

The accused was issued a misdemeanor summons and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 29.

Almeida Michelle Goncalves, 27, of 13 Walnut St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with risk of injury to child, second-degree hindering prosecution and interfering with an officer/resisting.

The accused was held to Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 15.

John Joseph Witzmann, 33, of 80 Central St. Apt. B1, Ansonia, was charged Sept. 14 with possession of controlled substance and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 29.

Dennis R. Allard, 39, of 251 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with risk of injury to child and third-degree assault.

Bond was set at $2,500 and the accused was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 16.

Jason Thomas Szarzynski, 25, of 47 Bridle Trail Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 16 with disorderly conduct.

The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 16.

William Burns, 24, of 20 George St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 17 with second-degree failure to appear.

The accused was released on a 1,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 29.

James Czajkowski, 52, of 25 Beach St., Seymour, was charged Sept. 17 with reckless driving and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 29.

Dominic Wells, 33, of 127 Migeon Ave., Torrington, was charged Sept. 19 with second-degree failure to appear.

The accused was held on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 20.

Shakira Marie Perez, 24, of 118 Congress Ave. 2Fl., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 19 with possession of controlled substance.

The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 5.
