Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Nick C. Burns, 45, of 152 May St., Naugatuck, was charged July 12 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on July 12 at 12:13 p.m. the accused responded to the Naugatuck Police Department to turn himself in on an active failure to appear rearrest warrant. The accused was released on a court-set $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 13.

Dominic Scott Dombroski, 18, of 30 Ash Road, Naugatuck, was charged July 12 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on July 12 at 1:45 p.m. the accused turned himself into the Naugatuck Police Department on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the accused, while employed at Ocean State Job Lot and during the course of his duties, stole merchandise and provided free merchandise to customers totaling $76.59 on numerous occasions in June 2021. The accused was released on a written promise to appear and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 21.

Zdzislaw Mycek, 72, of 77 School St., Naugatuck, was charged July 12 with second-degree breach of peace, violation of protective order and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on July 12 at approximately 2:30 p.m. officers responded to an undisclosed residence on a violation of a protective order complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of a protective order by being at the residence of the protected person. Police reported the accused also threatened the victim. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 13.

Jeffrey Kwaame Amankwah, 22, of 90 Celentano Drive, Naugatuck, was charged July 13 with reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit and illegal operation of motor vehicle without tint inspection.

Police reported on July 13 at approximately 1:35 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the accused is accused of engaging police officers in pursuit along with other motor vehicle charges. A warrant was applied and granted for the accused. The accused was scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 29.

Michael Madgic, 58, of 46 Bridge St. Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged July 13 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on July 13 at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to Cumberland Farms on North Main Street for a suspicious motor vehicle. Upon further investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of less than 1 gram of each of heroin, and crack cocaine. The accused was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 4.

Eric John Pemberton, 41, of 36 Hawkins St., Waterbury, was charged July 14 with third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on July 14 at 5:30 p.m. the accused was transferred into Naugatuck Police Department custody from the Waterbury Police Department. Police reported the accused was taken into custody for an active warrant. Police reported the warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred earlier this year, when the accused broke into a home and caused damage. The accused was held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Lisandrey Teresa Dejesus, 33, of 338 Salem St. 3Fl., Bridgeport, was charged July 14 with violation of probation, sixth-degree larceny and interfering with officer/resisting.

Police reported on July 14 the accused was placed under arrest for shoplifting at Walmart. Police reported the accused originally provided a false name and it was later revealed that she had an active violation of probation warrant out of Trumbull. The accused was released on a $1,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Bridgeport Superior Court on July 23.

Lyndell F. Bethea, 45, of 50 City Hill St. Apt. 2Fl., Waterbury, was charged July 14 with second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 14 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant while being investigated by officers for drinking alcohol in public on Bridge Street. Police reported the arrest warrant stemmed from a domestic incident on June 1, 2021, where the accused went to the victim’s home and smashed the windshield of the victim’s car with a boulder. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

Justin Cummings, 28, of 597 Millville Ave. Apt. 6-10, Naugatuck, was charged July 15 with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 15 at approximately 3:15 p.m. the accused turned himself into the Naugatuck Police Department for an active arrest warrant. Police reported the arrest warrant stemmed from an incident that was reported to the Naugatuck police on June 29, 2021. According to the victim, police reported, the victim was physically restrained and the accused would not allow the victim to leave the residence. The accused was released on a $5,000 cash surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 16.

Bryan Jemaal Newson, 38, of 425 Park Ave., Bridgeport, was charged July 15 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, drinking while driving, operating motor vehicle without licensed and failure to obey stop sign.
Police reported on July 15 at 8:12 p.m. officers conducted a motor vehicle investigation when the accused fail to stop for a stop sign on North Main Street. Police reported the accused was identified as the operator and through investigation it was learned the accused was operating under the influence of alcohol. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 29.

Sean Harrigan, 48, of 25 Jones Drive, Beacon Falls, was charged July 16 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on July 16 at 4:37 p.m. the accused was stopped for motor vehicle violations and during that investigation was found to be in possession of narcotics. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 28.

Kevin Tyrell Allison, 34, of 819 Connecticut Ave., Bridgeport, was charged July 16 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on July 16 at 6:54 p.m. officers were dispatched to a vehicle custody dispute. Through further investigation, police reported, officers determined there to be a full-no contact protective order. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety Bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 19.

Gary Cavallaro, 61, of 53 Conrad St. Apt. 19A, Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on July 17 at approximately 5:20 p.m. officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart. The accused was issued a misdemeanor summons and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 28.

Gary W. Johnson, 55, of 40 Lorann Drive, Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance and failure to renew registration.

Police reported on July 17 an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop of the accused’s vehicle on Cherry Street. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 29.

Louis P. Daddona, 60, of 33 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 18 with risk of injury to child, second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault, first-degree threatening, first-degree unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 17 police were sent to a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused had threatened the victims and assaulted a female. The accused was held on a $50,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 19.
