Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:
Zdzislaw Mycek, 72, of 732 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged April 15 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage, failure to drive in proper lane and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police reported on April 15 at approximately 7:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Main Street and Salem Bridge for a reported motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, police reported, the accused was found a short distance down the road attempting to flee the scene. Due to the disabling damage, police reported, the accused was unable to drive away. After the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was operating under the influence of alcohol. The accused was held on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 15.
Kevin Lucas Santos, 26, of 2233 Avalon Valley Drive Apt. 2nd Fl., Danbury, was charged April 15 with second-degree harassment and two counts of violation of protective order.
Police reported on April 15 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident on or about Oct. 26, 2020, harassing the victim while violating a standing protective order. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 15.
Ernest M. Rowe, 54, of 437 High St., Naugatuck, was charged April 16 with second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on April 16 officers responded to an undisclosed location on a stalking incident. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused had physical contact with the victim without her permission. Police reported this is not the first time the accused has tried to make contact with the victim. Police reported the incident was captured on video. The accused was released on $1,500 non-surety bond, and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 9.
George Estes-James, 27, of 82 Greenwood St., Naugatuck, was charged April 16 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.
Police reported on April 16 at approximately 6:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to 469 Rubber Ave. for an assault. After an investigation, police reported, it was discovered that the accused punched the victim in the face. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 30.
Mario J. Marques, 33, of 38 Gaplin St., Naugatuck, was charged April 17 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and traffic control signals.
Police reported on April 17 at approximately 12:25 a.m. while conducting routine traffic patrol a vehicle approached the intersection of Old Firehouse Road at Maple Street and failed to come to a complete stop at the blinking red traffic control signal. Police reported a motor vehicle investigation was initiated in the parking lot of Ion Bank. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was operating a motor vehicle under the influence. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.
Zari Elizeth Williams, 22, of 182 Main St. Apt. 9E, Waterbury, was charged April 17 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on April 17 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 16.
Trisha Denby, 28, of 115 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged April 17 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.
Police reported on April 17 at 11:30 a.m. the accused was arrested after an altercation with a victim. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 16.
Stanley Leconte, 37, of 16 Peppermill Court, Naugatuck, was charged April 17 with risk of injury to child, third-degree assault, first-degree unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on April 17 officers responded to the Naugatuck Police Department front parking lot in regards to a domestic assault complaint. While investigating, police reported, the accused arrived at department. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 19.
Allen Harmon, 48, of 22 Third St. Apt. 3, Waterbury, was charged April 17 with illegal possession of shoplifting device, third-degree criminal mischief, criminal attempt at fifth-degree larceny, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, improper use of marker, license or registration, third-degree identity theft, illegal use of payment card, criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on April 17 at approximately 5:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $714.64 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. Police reported the accused also had an active arrest warrant stemming from an incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on Aug. 3, 2020. Through the course of the investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused utilized a stolen credit card and made several unauthorized purchases. The accused was released on a bonds totaling $7,500 and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.
Sarah Jean Normand, 27, of 366 Middlebury Road, Middlebury, was charged April 18 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive upon right and illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension.
Police reported on April 18 at approximately 2:55 a.m. officers were dispatched to a single-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Church Street at Bridge Street. During the course of the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was operating a motor vehicle under the influence and with a suspended operator’s license. Police reported the accused was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital to be treated for injuries from the accident. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 17.
Anthony R. Sullivan, 39, of 124 Coen St., Naugatuck, was charged April 18 with possession of controlled substance or more than a half ounce of cannabis, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension and failure to display plates/inserts.
Police reported on April 18 an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was in possession of narcotics. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.
Tiffani Snoe Servidas, 31, of 46 6 Bridge St., Naugatuck, was charged April 18 with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police reported on April 18 officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 23.
Karen Lynn Serena, 37, of 38 Highland Ave. A301, Naugatuck, was charged April 19 with violation of protective order.
Police reported on April 19 the accused turned herself in on an active arrest warrant for violating an active protective order, which occurred on Jan. 26, 2021. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 20.
Karine Silva-Rocha, 29, of 37 Olive St., Naugatuck, was charged April 20 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.
Police reported on April 20 officers were dispatched to 86 Church St. on a report of an assault. After investigation, police reported, it was discovered that the accused slapped and scratched the victim after a disagreement. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 30.
Andrew Nuredin, 22, of 1541 Highland Ave. Apt. H, Waterbury, was charged April 21 with risk of injury to child and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on April 21 at 10:31 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in Naugatuck for a domestic incident. Police reported the victim contacted police stating
they were involved in an argument with the accused. Police reported the victim stated that during the argument the accused punched a hole in the wall and threw other belongings around the apartment. Police reported it was discovered this incident occurred in the presence of multiple juveniles. Police reported the accused left the residence prior to police arrival and was later located. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on April 22.
Jahriq Martin, 23, of 1 Barn St., Waterbury, was charged April 21 with falsify marker, license or registration, improper turn/stop-no signal, failure to obey stop sign, failure to renew registration, engaging police in pursuit and traffic control signals.
Police reported on April 21 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused engaged the Naugatuck Police Department in a vehicle pursuit. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 23.
Seth T. Guido, 28, of 19 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged April 21 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on April 21 at approximately 10:13 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of the accused who was highly intoxicated and causing issues in the residence. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused pushed and struck the victim. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 16.
