Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Ravon McKinney, 39, of 424 River Drive Apt. 21, Garfield, N.J., was charged March 26 with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 10:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to a suspected domestic disturbance at a residence. During the investigation, police reported, the accused assaulted the victim by striking her in the face with a closed fist. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 29.

Destiny Brown, 21, of 768 Noble Ave., Bridgeport, was charged March 27 with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 27 at 1:25 a.m. officers responded to a disclosed location for a domestic disturbance. Police reported it was determined the accused had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, it was learned that the accused struck the victim during an argument causing minor injuries. Police reported the accused was located a short time later and taken into custody. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 29.

Calvin Hicks, 19, of 31 Rose St., Waterbury, was charged March 27 with second-degree breach of peace and violation of protective order.

Police reported on March 27 at approximately 9:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Galpin Street and Highland Avenue for a disturbance. Police reported officers determined during the course of the disturbance the accused was also in violation of a protective order. The accused held on a $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 28.

Lawrence J. Allen, 31, of 77 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 27 with third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on March 27 at approximately 6 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical. According to the victim, police reported, the accused restrained her arms, threw her computer, stopped her from calling 911 and jumped on the hood of her car. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 29.

Steven Michael Keene, 28, of 298 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged March 27 with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, failure to drive in proper lane, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on March 27 at 7:57 p.m. officers conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street in the area of 585 South Main St. Police reported the accused was identified as the operator of the motor vehicle. Through officers’ investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused was in possession of illegal narcotics. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

Ebony M. Andrews, 32, of 57 Russell Ave., Plainville, was charged March 27 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 27 at approximately 9:26 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $233.17 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.

Harvey Lee Saunders, 33, of 57 Russell Ave., Plainville, was charged March 27 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 27 at approximately 9:26 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $233.17 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.

Annalee Lynn Dumschott, 28, of 65 Mikayla Lane, Prospect, was charged March 29 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, evading responsibility and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on March 29 at 12:28 a.m. officers responded to the area of School Street at Bridge Street for an evading motor vehicle accident. Upon officers’ arrival, police reported, it was discovered the vehicle had left the roadway and the operator had left the scene. Police reported the accused was located walking on Anderson Street a short time later by officers and identified as the owner and operator of the vehicle. Through officers’ investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused was operating while under the influence of alcohol. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court May 27.

Nancy E. Baummer, 52, of 75 Plank Road, Prospect, was charged March 29 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 29 at approximately 3:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times and damaged property. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 30.

Justin Carnell Kee, 36, of 19 Ives St., Waterbury, was charged April 1 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 1 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $150 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

David H. Adamson, 53, of 77 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged April 1 with violation of probation.

Police reported on April 1 the accused turned himself in on an active probation arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

Jessenia Cortes Rivera, 39, of 258 Mill St. Apt. 1, Waterbury, was charged April 1 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 1 at 4:40 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of a larceny shoplifting. Through investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused failed to pay for $184.89 worth of merchandise at the self-checkout kiosk. The accused was released on scene with a promise to appear and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

Breyanna Monae Gardner, 22, 78 Chestnut Ave. 2s, Waterbury, was charged April 2 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 2 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $474.13 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

Davionna Lovette Copeland, 21, of 114 Wilson Ave., Torrington, was charged April 2 with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer/resisting and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 2 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $474.13 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. Police reported the accused was found to have two active PRAWN warrants for her arrest. The accused was held on bonds totaling $13,500 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.

Donna L. Cossette, 64, of 115 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged April 2 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and improper turns.

Police reported on April 2 at approximately 7:27 p.m. officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North Church Street and Porter Avenue. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be at fault for the collision and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while making an improper turn. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 21.

Sarah Pawlowski, 37, of 32 Seth Den Road, Oxford, was charged April 2 with sale of certain illegal drugs, fourth-degree larceny, third-degree forgery and violation of probation.

Police reported on April 2 the accused was arrested on active arrest warrants. Police reported one warrant was from a narcotics sale incident stemming from an investigation started on March 2, 2021, wherein the accused is suspected of selling narcotics to another party prior to committing check fraud. Police reported one warrant was for violation of probation. The accused was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

Christine Leary, 43, of 621 Main St., Cromwell, was charged April 3 with possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on April 3 an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop at South Main Mobil. Police reported the accused was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant, along with multiple other charges. Police reported the accused resisted arrest and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The accused was issued a misdemeanor summons for the above charges and released to the custody of Cromwell police. The accused was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 19.

Jatejhia Syaire Trent, 24, of 150 Manhan St. Apt 4-6, Waterbury, was charged April 3 with criminal impersonation and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on April 3 at approximately 11:15 an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of the Naugatuck Motor Lodge. During the investigation, police reported, it was discovered that the passenger gave another name instead of her own. The accused was released on promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.

Makai Zhaquan Curry, 21, of 158 New Haven, Derby, was charged April 4 with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening, second-degree stalking and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on April 4 officers were dispatched to a residence in Naugatuck for a burglary and domestic violence complaint. Police reported it was reported the accused had broken into the victim’s home. Police reported the accused then stole items related to where the victim may currently be staying and begin sending text messages that he was going to go there and commit violence. The accused was released on a $250,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 5.

Alex Trushin, 31, of 627 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 4 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 4 at approximately 8 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported the accused stole $443.90 worth of merchandise. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 16.

Mark A. Soden, 31, of 6 Brookwood Court, Prospect, was charged April 4 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 4 at approximately 8 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $443.90 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 16.

Leandro Chaves Ajala, 36, of 184 Maple St. Apt. 2E, Naugatuck, was charged April 4 with risk of injury to child, second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and first-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on April 4 at 9:30 p.m. officers responded to 65 Rubber Ave. (Juniors Lunch) for a vandalism complaint. Through investigation, police reported, it was learned the accused was in a verbal argument with the victim which escalated when, according the witnesses, the accused struck the victim in the face in front of children. Police reported witnesses also stated the accused caused over $1,900 worth of damage to the restaurant. The accused was located a short time later and taken into custody. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 5.

Olga Maria Cabrera Reyes, 25, of 108 Cooke St. Apt. 1, Waterbury, was charged April 4 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 4 at approximately 9:30 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported the accused passed all points of sale and entry with $183.49 worth of merchandise. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 16.
