Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Luis Lebron, 23, 342 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, was charged March 22 with second-degree breach of peace, first-degree criminal trover, third-degree assault-victim elderly or other and robbery by carjacking.

Police reported on March 22 officers were dispatched to a possible domestic dispute that occurred in Naugatuck. Upon officers’ arrival, police reported, they were informed that the accused had pushed the victim while having had a verbal argument. Police reported on March 22 at approximately 2:42 a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Spring Street at the Waterbury line for an assault, which led to a carjacking. Police reported the accused physically assaulted the victim then took his car and fled the scene. Shortly after, police reported, the accused called 911 stating he was involved in a motor vehicle crash in Waterbury. The accused was held on a $250,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 22.

Christopher Scott Ceccorulli, 39, of 79 Richardson Drive, Middlebury, was charged March 22 with violation of probation.

Police reported on March 22 the accused was arrested on a probation violation after turning himself in at police headquarters. The accused was released on a $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on April 28.

Scott Sampson, 46, of 109 Pomfret St., Brooklyn, was charged March 22 with third-degree forgery and criminal attempt at third-degree larceny.

Police reported Naugatuck police were notified by the Meriden courthouse that the accused was in custody. Police reported Naugatuck police held an active arrest warrant for the accused from a previous forgery and larceny investigation from Jan. 21, 2021. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 13.

Brandon Sumler, 50, of 11 Fox St., Waterbury, was charged March 22 with illegal possession of weapon of motor vehicle, illegal possession of narcotic, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance and improper use of marker, license or registration.

Police reported on March 22 at about 8:24 p.m. a motor vehicle stop was conducted on South Main Street. During the course of the investigation, police reported, the officer located a knife, with a blade over 4 inches, and a stun gun. Police reported further investigation revealed marijuana located in the accused’s pants. The accused was released on a $1,000 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 28.

Christian Dangelo Harris, 21, of 113 Clowes Terrace, Waterbury, was charged March 22 with possession of controlled substance or more than a half ounce of cannabis, failure to have head lamps, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 11:37 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Cherry Street. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, while traveling with one functioning head lamp. Police reported it was discovered that the accused was in possession of a controlled substance. Police reported the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident, where the accused was in operation of a motor vehicle on a suspended license. The accused was released on bonds totaling $2,400 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 28.

Bryana Andre Frierson, 20, of 48 Wildemere Ave., Waterbury, was charged March 23 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 12:13 a.m. officers were dispatched to a possible domestic dispute occurring inside a vehicle in an undisclosed location in Naugatuck. Upon officers’ arrival, police reported, the accused was found inside the vehicle arguing with the victim. After further investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused assaulted the victim during the argument. The accused was scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 23.

Samara Skye Papcin, 43, of 9 Evelyn Drive, Naugatuck, was charged March 23 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 23 the accused was arrested on active warrant for failure to appear. The accused was held on a $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 23.

Aileen Charise Roberts, 38, of 113 Birch St. Fl. 2, Waterbury, was charged March 23 with prostitution person 16 or over.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 8:06 a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Cherry Street for a female party panhandling. Upon further investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused was trying to engage in prostitution. Police reported the accused was known to have an active warrant for a previous incident of prostitution. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 28.

Jasean Smith, 20, of 121 Dewitt St. Apt. 2, New Haven, was charged March 23 with second-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 23 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from an incident, where the accused stole a motor vehicle on or about July 4, 2018. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 23.

Robert Michael Akridge, 27, of 425 Whitney Ave., New Haven, was charged March 23 with first-degree criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on March 23 the accused turned himself in on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused constantly harassing the victim on multiple occasions in person. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 24.

Philip Donofrio, 43, of 254 Park Road, Oxford, was charged March 23 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on March 23 the accused was arrested on an active PRAWN arrest warrant. The accused was later released on $150 court-set cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 28.

Andreu McCarthy, 30, of 15 1/2 Hillside Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 24 with risk of injury to child, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 24 at approximately 8:32 p.m. officers responded to the victim’s place of employment on a report of a domestic dispute that took place earlier in the day. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused pushed the victim which resulted in the victim falling and suffering a minor injury. Police reported two minor children were present during the altercation, but in a separate room. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 25.

Jesie Alexander Rojas, 25, of 381 Clevland Ave., Bridgeport, was charged March 24 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on March 17 officers were dispatched to an address in Naugatuck for a possible violation of protective order. After an investigation, police reported, it was revealed that the accused violated the protective order and a warrant was subsequently applied for. Police reported on March 24 the accused turned himself in on the warrant. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 25.
