Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Roberto Vazquez, 38, of 129 Donna Lane Apt. A, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 18 with violation of protective order and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Jan. 18 around 4:30 a.m. officers responded to the area of Donna Lane for a report of a domestic violence incident involving a knife. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was in violation of an existing protective order. The accused was held on a $7,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 19.

Morgan Fonseca, 26, of 134 May St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 18 with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Jan. 18 the accused turned herself in to the Naugatuck Police Department on an active arrest warrant, which stemmed from an incident that occurred on Dec. 24, 2020. At the time of the incident, police reported, officers were dispatched to a residence on a report of a domestic disturbance. Through the course of the investigation, police reported, it was learned that an argument ensued at the residence, which escalated and according to the victim, the accused began damaging the garage door with a shovel and vandalizing the victim’s vehicle. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 19.

Jaimiece Loreen Parker, 32, of 605 Baldwin St. Apt. 202, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 19 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Jan. 19 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused was observed committing a larceny in December 2020 at Walmart and the value of the merchandise was approximately $1052.73. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.

Shawna Gagnon, 27, of 248 Oakville Ave. Apt. B, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 20 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage.

Police reported on Jan. 20 at 3:30 p.m. the accused turned herself in on an active arrest warrant for evading responsibility. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 5.

Jorge Nelson Martinez, 27, of 39 Horton Hill Road 5b, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 21 with improper use of marker, license or registration, false report-theft of motor vehicle, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, reckless driving, evading responsibility-injury/property damage, operating motor vehicle without a license, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle and false statement.

Police reported on Jan. 21 at approximately 1:21 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued for operating an unregistered, uninsured motor vehicle, and being involved in an evading motor vehicle accident. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior court on Jan. 26.

Rosa West, 55, of 106 South Cliff, Ansonia, was charged Jan. 21 with operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle, operation of motor vehicle under suspension, possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, sixth-degree larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Jan. 22 at approximately 8:55 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused exit the store without paying for $283.64 worth of merchandise. Police reported the accused was located fleeing the scene down the road in a motor vehicle. Police reported the accused also had drugs in her possession. The accused was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 17.

Bryant Bonilla, 19, of 197 Lincoln St. Fl. 3, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 22 with operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Jan. 22 at 12:39 p.m. officers were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on private property. Through the course of their investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused had struck the victim with his vehicle. Police reported the accused was operating an uninsured, unregistered motor vehicle. Bond was set at $2,500 and the accused was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 3.

Jorge Alberto Barreralima, 22, of 160 Walnut St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 22 with operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, reckless driving, operating motor vehicle without a license, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle, second-degree reckless endangerment, engaging police in pursuit and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Jan. 22 at approximately 7:55 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle matching the description of a possible robbery suspect traveling Route 8 south near exit 26. Upon an attempt to conduct a motor vehicle stop, police reported, the vehicle failed to pull over. Police reported the vehicle became disabled and pulled over on Route 8 south near exit 22. Police reported the accused was determined to not have any involvement in the robbery attempt, but was processed on the listed charges. The accused was released on a $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 3.

Avery Mack Brown, 18, of 14 Gruber Road, Beacon Falls, was charged Jan. 23 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Jan. 23 at approximately 6:20 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, for a larceny complaint. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused exit the store without paying for merchandise valued less than $500. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 3.

Troop I reported the following charges recently filed in Beacon Falls and Prospect:

Timothy M. Feeney, 35, of 79 Munson Road, Beacon Falls, was charged Jan. 22 with second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Katie Rose Howard, 24, of 99 W. Shore Road, New Preston, was charged Jan. 22 with disorderly conduct and first-degree assault.
