Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Oscar M. Roggero, 44, of 515 Spring St. Apt. B, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 17 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 17 at approximately 10:30 a.m. the accused was arrested on a PRAWN warrant. The accused was held on a $500,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 18.

Russell Smith, 59, of 26 Hillcrest Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 17 with second-degree harassment.

Police reported on Dec. 17 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused had been harassing the victim for a period of time by phone messages. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.

Steven Michael Hayden, 31, of 74 Ridge Road Apt. 5, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 18 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree strangulation.

Police reported on Dec. 18 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to a past domestic incident in which the accused strangled and struck the victim. The accused was held on a $5,000 court-set surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 18.

David Day, 54, of 128 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 19 with violation of protective order, interfering with an officer/resisting, illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 19 at about 3:33 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Naugatuck Police Department lobby for a domestic complaint. Through the course of their investigation, police reported, officers determined the accused violated a protective order with the complainant and was found to be intoxicated. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 21.

Carla Carreiro, 49, of 38 Ann St. Apt. 1A, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 19 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 19 at approximately 12:39 p.m. police were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, for a report of a shoplifting. Police reported it was determined through investigation that the accused did not pay for $237.08 worth of items and attempted to leave the store. The accused was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a promise to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 27.

Timothy Perry Slauson, 61, of 14 Wilson St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 19 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Dec. 19 at approximately 8:11 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the area of Bridge Street at D&D Liquor for a person asleep at the wheel. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 25.

Larry Bernard Smalls, 31, of 570 Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 19 with criminal impersonation and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Dec. 19 at approximately 10:56 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Salem Bridge after observing a motor vehicle violation. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused provided a false name when trying to be identified. Police reported the accused had multiple active arrest warrants from other jurisdictions. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 24.

Kelsey Marie Zdep, 25, of 22 William St., Ansonia, was charged Dec. 20 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on Dec. 20 at approximately 1:13 a.m. an officer responded to a single motor vehicle accident. Through officer’s investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 25.

Roberto Vazquez, 38, of 129 Donna Lane Apt. A, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 21 with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct, second-degree breach of peace, simple trespass and third-degree stalking.

Police reported on Dec. 21 at approximately 6:51 a.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Naugatuck. During this investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused strangled and attempted to grab the victim which caused injury. During this investigation, police reported, the accused was found to have an active arrest warrant, which stemmed from a domestic incident which happened on April 20, 2020.The accused was held on a bonds totaling $10,000 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 22.

Brendan M. Burns, 32, of 1073 Augusta Drive, Oxford, was charged Dec. 21 with two counts of violation of protective order.

Police reported on Dec. 21 the accused surrendered at the Naugatuck Police Department for an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant stemmed from an incident that happened on Nov. 22, 2020, when the accused allegedly violated a protective order against the victim. The accused was released on a court-set $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 22.

Patricia Denise Parker, 29, of 49 Albion St., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 21 with fourth-degree larceny, third-degree identity theft, fraudulent use of automatic teller and third-degree forgery.

Police reported on Nov. 15, 2019, officers were dispatched to the Naugatuck Motor Lodge for a complaint of a stolen check. After further investigation, police reported, a warrant was submitted and signed for the accused. Police reported on Dec. 21 the accused turned herself in to the Naugatuck Police Department, where she was released on a $2,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.

Steven Chandler, 31, of 54 Bryan St., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 21 with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 21 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to a previous domestic incident in which the accused strangled and struck the victim. The accused was held on a $25,000 court-set surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 22.

Armand Carcamo, 39, of 535 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 21 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 21 at 11:57 p.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in Naugatuck for a domestic dispute. Through investigation, police reported, it was learned the accused used car keys to cut the victim in the face and on the arm. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 22.

Brett Michael Blakeman-Crisp, 28, of 93 5 Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 22 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Dec. 22 at approximately 9:57 a.m. officers were dispatched to McDonald’s, 718 Rubber Ave., to respond to a report of an intoxicated male harassing drive-thru customers. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was leaning in car windows and acting aggressively toward customers. The accused was held on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 23.

Leighann N. Fogarty, 30, of 3 Highland Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 22 with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 22 at 12:01 p.m. officers were dispatched to 3 Highland Circle for a report of a verbal argument. Through investigation, police reported, officers learned that during the argument the accused threw the victim’s Xbox out of a second floor window causing damage to it. The accused was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 23.

Jayquan Bell, 30, of 55 Lilac St., New Haven, was charged Dec. 22 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 22 at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Rubber Avenue and Meadow Street on report of a two-car motor vehicle accident. Through the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused had an active PRAWN arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $1,500 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 20.

Joseph Gallagher, 54, of 183 Graham Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 22 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, interfering with an officer, failure to grant right of way and operation of motor vehicle by person 18 years or older in violation of requirements.

Police reported on Dec. 22 at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to report of a motor vehicle accident. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol. The accused was released on a $1,500 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 21.

Jonathan Vazquez, 24, of 14 Lafayette St. 3, Derby, was charged Dec. 22 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Dec. 22 the accused was arrested on a probation violation arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 20.

Patrick T. Dacosta, 28, of 159 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 24 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 24 at approximately 10:45 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused pushed the victim and punched him several times. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 28.

Ryan Michael Acosta, 25, of 159 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 24 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 24 at approximately 10:45 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when the accused scratched the victim and damaged his belongings. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 28.

Zuleyka M. Sanchez, 29, of 320 Holland Road, Bridgeport, was charged Dec. 25 with disorderly conduct and three counts of third-degree assault.

Police reported on Dec. 25 at approximately 4:37 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of an active fight involving a handgun. Prior to police arrival, police reported, the suspects fled the scene and were stopped by officers a short distance away from the residence. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in a fight with parties at the home. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.

Alberto Tornes, 29, of 244 West Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Dec. 25 with first-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and three counts of third-degree assault.

Police reported on Dec. 25 at approximately 4:37 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of an active fight involving a handgun. Prior to police arrival, police reported, the suspects fled the scene and were stopped by officers a short distance away from the residence. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in a fight with parties at the home. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.

Richard Martinez, 34, of 467 Lexington Ave. 1, Bridgeport, was charged Dec. 25 with disorderly conduct.

Prior to police arrival, police reported, the suspects fled the scene and were stopped by officers a short distance away from the residence. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in a fight with parties at the home. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.

Sabrina Latoya McCrea, 28, of 37 Brook St., Hamden, was charged Dec. 26 with sixth-degree larceny and fraudulent use of automatic teller.

Police reported on Dec. 26 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused fraudulently obtained money from an ATM and withdrew money from a person’s bank account. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 10.

Candy Lee Gliszczynski, 47, of 159 Hawkins St., Derby, was charged Dec. 26 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Dec. 26 at approximately 6:16 p.m. officers responded to the area of 22 Church St. on a violation of a protective order complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of a protective order by contacting the protected person. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 28.

Jonathan Espada-Santiago, 28, of 19 Edgar St., New Haven, was charged Dec. 27 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at 12:01 a.m. officers observed a motor vehicle traveling north on Waterbury Road with illegally tinted windows and no front registration plate. A motor vehicle investigation was conducted. Police reported the operator was identified as the accused. Through investigation, police reported, it was learned the accused had an active warrant for violation of probation. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 17.

Onacey Acevedo, 41, of 211 Maple St. Apt. 4, Towanda, Pa., was charged Dec. 27 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at 8:08 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Comfort Inn, 716 New Haven Road, for a customer yelling at employees. Police reported the accused left prior to police arrival. A short time later, police reported, the accused came back to the Comfort Inn. Police reported the accused had a PRAWN arrest warrant from an incident in Waterbury. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 17.

David Duran Pesantez, 26, of 34 Yates Ave., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 27 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at 7:51 p.m. the accused was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim outside the residence. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was placed under arrest due to harassing the victim and banging on the victim’s windows and car doors. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 28.
