Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:
Gordon Palmieri, 37, of 9 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 10 with risk of injury to child, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Nov. 9 at around 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the area of High Street for a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, police reported, a domestic dispute was confirmed to have occurred and it was deemed physical between the accused and the victim with a minor child present in the home. Police reported the accused was later located by Naugatuck police after the leaving the scene post altercation. Police reported the victim suffered minor injuries, which did not require medical attention. The accused was arrested and held on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 10.
Edward P. Smith Jr., 60, of 28 Idleview Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 10 with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police reported on Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident on Aug. 4, 2020, where it was discovered the accused broke into a residence and stole several items. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.
Justin Wilson, 34, of 800 Osborn Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 10 with risk of injury to child and third-degree assault.
Police reported on May 5, 2020, at 7:39 p.m. officers were dispatched to a welfare check of a juvenile. After an investigation, police reported, it was discovered that a physical altercation occurred between the accused and the juvenile. On Nov. 10, police reported, officers arrested the accused on an active arrest warrant from the incident. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.
Thomas Murowsky, 49, of 40 Summerfield St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 10 with violation of probation.
Police reported on Nov. 10 at 8:30 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 16.
Manuel Inamagua, 42, of 7 Hoadley Terrace, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 11 with two counts of evading responsibility-injury/property damage, illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive in proper lane and illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension.
Police reported the accused was involved in an accident on Rubber Avenue. Police reported the accused left the scene and struck a parked vehicle on Pearl Street and left that scene also. Police reported the accused was located on Hoadley Terrace and found to be operating under the influence of alcohol. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 17.
Ryan Dinsmore, 39, of 74 Majorie St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 12 with two counts of violation of probation.
Police reported on Nov. 12 at 5 a.m. the accused turned himself into police custody on two outstanding PRAWN warrants. The accused was held on a $50,000 court-set bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.
John Edward Fignar, 36, of 9 8th St., Newington, was charged Nov. 12 with second-degree criminal trespass, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer/resisting and assault of public safety or emergency medical personnel.
Police reported on Nov. 12 at 2:59 p.m. officers were dispatched to an address for an unknown male in a backyard, half dressed, humping trees, screaming and eating branches. Upon police arrival, police reported, the accused ran into a nearby house causing the residents to flee their home in fear. Police reported the accused came out of the house and was placed in custody. While in custody, police reported, the accused spat at and assaulted officers. Police reported the accused was evaluated at St. Mary’s Hospital. The accused was held on a $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear on Nov. 18 at Waterbury Superior Court.
Quintasia Bellamy, 21, of 10 Eugene Drive, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 13 with sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on Nov. 13 at 1:50 p.m. an officer responded to Wal-Mart, 1100 New Haven Road, for a reported shoplifting complaint. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused bagged items without scanning them at the self-checkout lane. Police reported the total value of items not scanned was $237.84. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 17.
Jesse James Maslar, 24, of 116 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 13 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
Police reported on Nov. 13 officers responded to a residence for a reported domestic disturbance. Through officers’ investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused became involved in a verbal argument which became physical when, according to the victim, the accused punched a hole in the bedroom wall and dragged the victim out of the residence by her hair. While the victim attempted to call 911, police reported, the accused grabbed and threw the phone. Police reported the victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 16.
Jessica Germano, 33, of 400 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire, was charged Nov. 14 with second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on Nov. 14 at 9:06 p.m. officers responded to Dee-Mans Bar, 1370 New Haven Road, for a report of a group of people outside arguing. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, it was determined two females were verbally arguing about a past incident. Police reported the accused attempted to fight the complainant. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 9.
Kurt R. Gaddis, 62, of 108 Clark Hill Road Apt. 32, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 15 with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police reported on Nov. 15 officers responded to a residence for a neighbor dispute. During the course of the investigation, police reported, officers discovered the accused damaged a neighbor’s outdoor property and assaulted the victim. Police reported the accused was intoxicated and believed his neighbor stole a credit card from him. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 11.
