Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Carol Angella Peynado, 52, of 9 Meadowbrook Place, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 2 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 2 at 2:31 p.m. officers were dispatched to the accused’s address for a report of a domestic incident. Police reported officers’ investigation revealed the accused was involved in a physical altercation. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 3.

Richard Ronald Rajaram, 30, of 108 Clark Road Apt. 96, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 2 with evading responsibility-injury/property damage.

Police reported on Nov. 2 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant for an incident which occurred on July 19, 2020, where the accused was involved in a motor vehicle collision with a parked vehicle and left the scene evading responsibility. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 9.

Oshin A. Moodie, 26, of 9 Meadowbrook Place, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 2 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Nov. 2 at 2:31 p.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed address for a report of a domestic incident. Police reported officers’ investigation revealed the accused was involved in a physical altercation. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 3.

Anthony Alvarado, 23, of 111 Wooster St. Apt 4B, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 2 with second-degree breach of peace, violation of protective order and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Nov. 2 at approximately 7:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to a residence for a noise complaint. Police reported a second caller reported there to be a domestic incident occurring at the residence. Police reported one of the responding officers located the accused walking away from the residence. Police reported the accused provided the officer with a false name and then engaged police in a foot pursuit into the wood line. After a brief foot pursuit, police reported, the accused was apprehended without further incident. Through the course of the investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused was with the victim inside the residence and violating a protective order. The accused was released on a $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 3.

Stephen Conroy, 34, of 55 Barn Finch Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 3 with reckless driving, evading responsibility-injury/property damage and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Nov. 3 at 7:18 p.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle accident. Police reported a witness believed the driver was having a seizure. Through officers’ investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 16.

David Murphy, 39, of 1 Victory Lane, New Milford, was charged Nov. 3 with criminal attempt at fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Nov. 3 the accused turned himself in to the Naugatuck Police Department on an active warrant out of the department. Police reported the warrant stemmed from a larceny from Wal-Mart reported on June 25, 2020 where the accused stole various items, including several GPS units totaling $592.84. The accused was released on a court-set promise to appear and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 17.

Jeffrey Crocker Sr., 62, of 21 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 4 with illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance.

Police reported on Nov. 4 at 10:45 p.m. the accused arrived at the Naugatuck Police Department to turn himself in on an active warrant that was being held out of the agency. Police reported this arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle crash on May 14, 2020, where the accused was later determined to have insufficient vehicle insurance. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 3.

Justin D. Leary, 39, of 130 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 5 at 9 p.m. officers received a walk-in complaint of a past domestic incident reported by the victim’s friend. Through investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused and the victim became involved in an argument over money owed to the accused’s mother. Police reported the accused ripped a shelf off the wall and tried to prevent the victim from leaving the residence by standing in front of her and blocking attempts by the victim to get around the accused. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 6.

Christopher Morales, 35, of 294 Willow St., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 6 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, operating/towing unregistered motor vehicle, failure to drive in proper lane, illegal operation of motor vehicle without insurance and improper use of marker, license or registration.

Police reported on Nov. 6 officers were dispatched to the area of Prospect Street for an erratic operator. Police reported officers located the vehicle on Prospect Street and witnessed the erratic driving, which included driving below the posted speed limit and crossing over the double yellow and fog lines. Police reported the accused was stopped and through an investigation, it was determined the accused was believed to be operating under the influence of drugs. Police reported the accused was on parole and remanded to New Haven Correctional Center. The accused was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 9.

Douglas Edwards, 60, of 74 John St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 7 with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree threatening.

Police reported on Nov. 7 at approximately 11:29 p.m. officers were dispatched to 65 John St. for a neighbor dispute regarding a loose dog. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was determined a neighbor’s dog got out of its chain and left the residence without the owner knowing. Police reported the dog went into the accused’s yard and attacked his dog. Police reported the accused confronted the owner and threatened to shoot his dog in the head if it came into his yard again. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 2.

Roland Lloyd Crapo, 55, of 53 Homestead Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 8 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 8 at 1:53 p.m. the accused was involved in an argument with a family member. Police reported the argument escalated to where the accused struck, then pushed the victim into a tree. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 9.

Mark Anthony Alvarado, 25, of 92 Asylum St. Apt. 1, New Haven, was charged Nov. 8 with possession of controlled substance or more than a half ounce of cannabis, possession with intent to sell, simple trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than a half ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on Nov. 8 officers were dispatched to 799 New Haven Road for a suspicious motor vehicle. Upon officers’ arrival, police reported, the vehicle was unoccupied, however two males were walking away from the vehicle. Police reported officers were able to detain the accused, and through an investigation located narcotics on the accused and in the vehicle. The accused was held on a $15,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 9.

Montana Lamphere, 32, of 230 Webb Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 8 with risk of injury to child, third-degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer/resisting, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on Nov. 8 at 9:12 p.m. officers responded to a domestic incident. Through officers’ investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused had broken down his front door and was screaming at a female on scene. Police reported there were also five juveniles present during the time of the incident. While on scene, police reported, the accused refused to let officers inside his residence. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 9.
