Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Joshua E. Morales, 30, of 48 Curtiss St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 12 with violation of probation and violation of protective order.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 6:26 p.m. officers responded to a residence for a suspicious person complaint. Through the course of the investigation, police reported, the accused was located inside the residence hiding underneath a bed. Police reported the accused was found to be violating a court order protective order. Police reported the accused was also arrested on an active PRAWN arrest warrant. The accused was released on bonds totaling $75,000 and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 13.

Tessa Marie Arcovio, 22, of 206 Bluebird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 13 with carrying a dangerous weapon and negligent pedestrian.

Police reported on Oct. 13 at approximately 12:30 a.m. the accused was arrested on a suspicious person complaint in the area of Candee Road and Village Circle. During the course of the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of a samurai sword approximately 3 feet in length. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 4.

Michael A. Perez, 24, of 56 Liberty St., Ansonia, was charged Oct. 14 with three counts of violation of protective order.

Police reported on Oct. 14 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from multiple incidents where the accused violated a standing protective order. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 14.

Tyrell Ernest Gore, 31, of 7 Orange St., New Haven, was charged Oct. 15 with disorderly conduct, misuse emergency 911-false alarm, violation of protective order, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Oct. 15 around 12 a.m. the accused arrived at the victim’s residence violating an active protective order. Police reported the victim continuously told the accused to leave the residence to which the accused ignored. Police reported the victim was able to get the accused out of the residence and shut a sliding glass door locking him out. Police reported the accused began to bang on the door until he smashed the glass of the door causing the door to be completely damaged. As neighbors came out to see what all the noise and yelling was, police reported, the accused fled the scene. Police reported officers were able to locate the accused after the accused sometime later. The accused was held on a $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 15.

Jean Pierre Vite, 28, of 33 Virgil St. Apt. 7, Stamford, was charged Oct. 15 with first-degree sexual assault.

Police reported on Oct. 15 at approximately 6:30 a.m. the accused was arrested on an arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was for a sexual assault complaint made on July 3, 2020. Police reported the accused sexually assaulted the victim, which is known to him. The accused was given a court date of Oct. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on $500,000 bond.

Natasha I. Caines, 44, of 13751 Hook Creek 10a, Rosedale, N.Y., was charged Oct. 15 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 15 at approximately 4:01 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a complaint of the accused stealing $116.62 worth of merchandise. Police reported officers reviewed Walmart video footage and were able to confirm the accused stole multiple items by placing them in an old Walmart bag. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 19.

Malcolm William James, 26, of 414 Austin Road Apt. 6, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 16 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Oct. 15 at 2:20 a.m. officers observed a vehicle parked on Platts Mill Road at the river access ramp running. Police reported officers observed what appeared to be a male operator inside the vehicle consuming an alcoholic beverage. Through investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused was operating while under the influence of alcohol. The accused was then taken into custody and transported to
the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.

Kevin Grant, 31, of 163 Forest St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 16 with risk of injury to child, second-degree assault, intentional cruelty to persons, disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Kaitlin Elizabeth Baptiste, 29, of 163 Forest St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 16 with risk of injury to child, second-degree reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit intentional cruelty to persons and conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct.

Brendon Hickey, 21, of 933 Rubber Ave. Apt. 9m, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 16 with two counts of risk of injury to child and two counts of second-degree sexual assault.

Police reported on Oct. 16 members of the Naugatuck Police Department arrested the accused on active warrants held by this department. The warrants were issued for sexual assault reported to the department on or about July 25, 2019. The accused was held on bonds totaling $300,000 and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 19.

Joshua Barr, 26, of 701 Beacon Valley Road Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 16 with illegal sexual contact of victim under the age of 16, fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Oct. 16 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued for the accused for a prior incident involving sexual abuse of a juvenile victim. The accused was held on a $100,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 19.

Emily Rose Dyer, 19, of 669 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 18 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Oct. 18 at approximately 3:27 a.m. officers responded to a residence for a report of a dispute between neighbors. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused began to argue with the victim over the accused having to move her vehicle in the driveway blocking in the victim’s vehicle. Police reported the victim stated the accused became physical by charging at him and hitting him with her hands. Police reported the victim did not sustain any injuries from the attack. Police reported the accused then went outside and keyed the victim’s vehicle. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 19.

Oscar Luscio Velasquez-Perez, 35, of 4 Cotton Hollow Court Apt. 4B, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 18 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and operating a motor vehicle without license.

Police reported on Oct. 18 at 9:51 a.m. the accused was stopped at 1100 New Haven Road and found to be operating under the influence of alcohol. Police reported the accused was also found to be operating without a valid operator’s license. The accused was released to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 10.

Tiffani Snoe Servidas, 31, of 46 Bridge St. Apt. 6, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 18 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Oct. 18 Naugatuck police received a complaint about suspicious activity, possibly involving drug sales. Police reported an investigation of the complaint lead to a motor vehicle stop and the accused was the occupant/driver. Through the course of the investigation, police reported, officers discovered narcotics, marijuana and various drug paraphernalia. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 9.

Troop I reported the following charges recently filed in Beacon Falls and Prospect:

Kylee Renker, 33, of 333 Bethany Road, Beacon Falls, was charged Oct. 14 with second-degree assault, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening.

Victoria Alexis Allen, 30, of 40 Sargent Drive, Bethany, was charged Oct. 14 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, improper turn/stop no signal, failure to keep narcotics in original container, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.
