Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Patrick Walsh, 56, of 38 Neuman St., Apt. 1, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 3 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Aug. 3 12:50 a.m. the accused was taken into custody for an active PRAWN warrant. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 3.

William Fitzgerald Smith, 23, of 160 Roseanna Road, Plantsville, was charged Aug. 5 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 12:35 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused conceal less than $500 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Clinton Moreese McNair, 46, of 226 Salem Glen SE Way, Conyers, Ga., was charged Aug. 5 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at 1:36 p.m. the accused was taken into custody for active PRAWN warrants. The accused was released on surety bonds and $5,000 and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 19.

Dean Maida, 40, of 8 Carroll Court, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 5 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Aug. 5 the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was issued due to the accused violating an active protective order. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear at Waterbury
Superior Court on Aug. 6.

Michael Francis Greene, 31, of 9 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 6 with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 6 at approximately 6:34 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. Police reported the victim stated the argument escalated and became physical when the accused wouldn’t let the victim leave, grabbed the victim by the throat, and then punched the victim in the thigh and in the rib area. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 7.

Patrick A. Benner, 38, of 79 Bowen St. Apt. A, Hamden, was charged Aug. 7 with violation of restraining order and second-degree harassment.

Police reported the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant that stemmed from a domestic violence case on July 17, 2020, where the accused repeatedly contacted the victim in violation of a court order. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 10.

Domonique Nicole Hill, 34, of 77 Marion Ave., Torrington, was charged Aug. 7 with sixth-degree larceny and violation of probation.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at 6:06 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart at 1100 New Haven Road for a shoplifting complaint. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $129.92 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 17. Police reported the accused was identified by her Connecticut ID card, which revealed an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 17.

Marc Kinsella, 40, of 20 Woodbine St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 7 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 9:03 p.m. officers were conducting a DUI check point and initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of the Salem Bridge. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of marijuana. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 8.

Anthony Gallagher, 26, of 389 Main St. Apt. 3, Seymour, was charged Aug. 7 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, improper use-high beam light and drinking while driving.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 10:26 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Cherry Street at Salem Bridge. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, drinking while driving and with improper use of high beams. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 10.

Sean M. Harrigan, 48, of 139 Lewis St. Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 10:26 p.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location on a report of a physical domestic dispute. Police reported it was determined through the investigation that the accused punched the victim in the face and her side while they were in the car. Police reported the victim sustained minor injuries. The accused was held on a $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury
Superior Court on Aug. 10.

Jailene Aquilar, 24, of 95 Fern St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 9 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 9 at approximately 8 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the incident was not domestic in nature and involved the accused with another subject where the incident escalated and became physical. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Stephanie Marres Farrar, 34, of 154 Bishop St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 10 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 10 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident on June 19, 2020, where the accused shoplifted approximately $403.55 worth of merchandise from Stop & Shop. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Joseph Ethan Champagne, 20, of 51 Redfield Road, Barton, Vt., was charged Aug. 10 with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, third-degree assault, conspiracy to commit third-degree assault, risk of injury to child, interfering with an officer/resisting and second-degree forgery.

Police reported on Aug. 10 officers made contact with the accused at Salem School after being suspected of robbery and assault, stemming from an incident where the accused tried to steal money and a bicycle from a juvenile victim. The accused was held on a $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 11.

Alysha Nicole Colangelo, 24, of 21 Hunters Trail, Bethany, was charged Aug. 10 with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Aug. 10 the accused turned herself in to the Naugatuck Police Department on an active warrant. The accused was released on a court-set $136 cash bond and set to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 9.

Emma B. Sheriff, 28, of 121 Buckland Drive, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 11 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 11 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a court-set $400 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 30.

Charles Henry Waterbury, 40, of 398 Candee Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 11 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 11 at 7:34 p.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location for a domestic disturbance complaint. After investigating the facts and circumstances of the incident, police reported, the accused was arrested for punching through the victim’s car window while highly intoxicated. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 12.

Anthony Dion Hunt, 26, of 654 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 12 with disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment

Police reported on Aug. 12 officers responded to a residence for a reported dispute. Police reported it was reported that the accused was throwing items around the house. During the officer’s investigation, police reported, they learned that the victim’s juvenile was present and that the accused was throwing items toward both the juvenile and the victim. Police reported the accused fled the scene on foot shortly after the police department was called. Police reported the accused was located sometime later and taken into custody. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 12.

Christopher Rafael, 27, of 51 Pritchard Road, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 12 with conspiracy to commit second-degree stalking.

Police reported on Aug. 12 the victim responded to the Naugatuck Police Department to file a complaint against the accused for constantly being followed. Police reported the accused was advised to stay away from the victim and the victim’s home. Police reported the accused returned to the home a short time later and parked in front of the home. Police reported the accused was placed under arrest after officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Cross Street sometime later. The accused was held on a $15,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 13.

Jaime Fernando Duarte-Pereira, 44, of 105 Conrad St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 12 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on Aug. 12 at approximately 9:05 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 320 Scott St. for a motor vehicle accident. Through the investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failed to maintain the proper lane. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 27.

Allen Robertson, 37, of 65 Angel Drive, Waterbury, was charged July 26 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, improper use of marker, registration or license, illegal operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension and driving wrong way-one-way street.
