Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Ramon R. Aponte, 46, of 20 Washington St. Apt. 3, Waterbury, was charged July 17 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on July 16 at 11:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to 716 New Haven Road (The Comfort Inn) for an unwanted party. Upon further investigation, police reported, it was discovered the accused had an active prawn warrant for his arrest. The accused was held on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 17.

Mathew David Lantieri, 28, of 11 Mulberry St., Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with violation of probation, criminal attempt at third-degree burglary, criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny and simple trespass.

Police reported on July 17 at approximately 10 a.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 9 Mulberry St. for the report of a suspicious male, who was reported to be peering into windows, attempting to force entry into homes, and walking around backyards. Police reported a reporting party stated the male subject attempted to steal their weedwacker. Police reported a description of the accused was provided to officers, and the accused was located in the immediate area. Police reported video surveillance was obtained and showed the accused as the male reported to officers by witnesses. The accused was released on $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 20.

Police reported on July 17 the accused was arrested on an active violation of probation arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court at a later date.

Jessica Lopez, 38, of 346 High St., Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 17 at approximately 3:40 p.m. the accused was arrested on an active domestic arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $2,500 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 20.

Timothy James Cumberledge, 54, of 412 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and illegal use of facsimile firearm.

Police reported on July 17 at approximately 4:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Legion Field on the report of a man threatening children with a weapon. Police reported officers confiscated two knives and one fake gun (BB gun) from the accused. The accused was released on $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 26.

Ricardo Melo, 39, of 62 Brookside Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on July 17 officer were dispatched to 62 Brookside Ave. to assist Danbury police in locating the accused, who was wanted for domestic charges for an incident occurring in Danbury. Police reported officers located the accused inside the basement of the residence where the accused resisted being placed in handcuffs. Police reported the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 19.

Steven Ash, 36, 288 High St. Apt. 8, Naugatuck, was charged July 17 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on July 17 at approximately 11:15 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 195 Water St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 27.

Shayne Pn Blake, 33, of 91 Morris St., Naugatuck, was charged July 18 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive in proper lane and littering violation.

Police reported on July 18 at approximately 10:53 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle stop in the area of 800 New Haven Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and while failing to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 26.

Gaspar Alejandro Barreto Montero, 28, of 151 Andrew Ave. Apt. 304, Naugatuck, was charged July 19 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, disobeying signal of officer, failure to drive in proper lane, misuse emergency 911-false alarm and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on July 19 at approximately 1:31 a.m. officers observed a vehicle traveling west bound on Rubber Avenue. Police reported the vehicle then crossed over into the eastbound lane of travel lane several times. Police reported the vehicle failed to signal for the turn onto Melbourne Street then failed to stop when signaled. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was later released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 27.

Andre S. Rodrigues, 46, of 41 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged July 19 with cruelty to animals.

Police reported on July 19 at approximately 10:47 a.m. Naugatuck Animal Control was dispatched to check on a dog in a “hot” car located in the parking lot of Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road. Police reported animal control utilized an infrared thermometer and obtained temperatures of the interior of the vehicle to be between 99.5 degrees and 102.5 degrees. Police reported witnesses reported the vehicle was parked, occupied only by the dog, for at least 26 minutes. Based on the investigation, police reported, the accused was issued a misdemeanor summons for the listed charge. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 10.

Lance Lydem Jr., 18, of 521 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 19 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 19 at approximately 1:53 p.m. the accused was directly involved in a physical altercation with a group of juveniles down at Salem School playground. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 4.

Nicole Brewster, 37, of 177 City Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged July 19 with second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer and second-degree false incident report.

Police reported on July 19 at approximately 1:53 p.m. the accused was present during a physical altercation involving a group of juveniles at Salem School park. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 2.

Dean Maida, 40, of 8 Carroll Court, Naugatuck, was charged July 20 with violation of protective order, evading responsibility-injury/property damage and illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension.

Police reported on July 20 at approximately 11 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence for a welfare check. Upon officers’ arrival, police reported, they conducted a walkthrough of the residence to ensure a wanted party was not there. Police reported officers located the accused hiding in a bedroom. Police reported the accused also had a protective order not allowing him to be at the residence, and not to have any contact with people whom were at the residence. The accused was issued a $15,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 21. Police reported the accused had an active arrest warrant for evading responsibility and operating under suspension. The accused was issued a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 21.

Jean Pierre Vite, 28, of 33 Virgil St. Apt. 7, Stamford, was charged July 20 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on July 20 at 6:30 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant, which was issued on July 13, 2020, for violation of a protective order. The accused was released on a court-set $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 21.

Michael Corso, 30, of 933 Rubber Ave. Apt. 10Q, Naugatuck, was charged July 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 21 at approximately 3:23 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim. Police reported the victim stated the argument escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused grabbed and shook her face which resulted in the victim being scratched in the face. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 21.

Alida Jocelyn Maldonado, 24, of 297 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged July 21 with second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on July 21 at 6:05 p.m. officers were dispatched to 5 Meadow St. for an assault that occurred in the parking lot. Police reported investigating officers located the victim who provided a description of the accused and a photograph of the accused’s vehicle, including the registration plate. Police reported the victim stated the accused fled prior to police arrival. The accused was located and identified. The accused was released on a $1,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 2.

Leonard Lemaire, 41, of 16 Tolles Square Apt. left, Naugatuck, was charged July 21 with violation of probation.

Police reported on July 21 on officer conducted a motor vehicle stop of the accused on Route 8 north by exit 27. Police reported the accused was determined to have an active PRAWN warrant out of Farmington. The accused was held on a court-set $15,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 22.

David Enrique Buchelli, 58, of 33 Fuller St., Naugatuck, was charged July 21 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on July 21 at approximately 7:24 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Marc Street and Jason Court for a suspicious motor vehicle. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $2,500 non- surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 3.

Jeancarlo Miguel Rivera, 29, of 49 Golden Hill St. Apt. 3, Naugatuck, was charged July 21 with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on July 21 at approximately 7:14 p.m. officers were dispatched to 49 Golden Hill St. for a report of a neighbor dispute. Police reported officers have responded to this residence multiple times in the past for similar incidents. Police reported it was determined all three neighbors involved had yelled profanities at each other, threatened each other, and threw items at one another. Once the neighbors were all released, police reported, officers responded to the same residence a second time and made additional arrests. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 26.

Kayla Jayne Radley, 25, of 49 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged July 21 with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on July 21 at approximately 7:14 p.m. officers were dispatched to 49 Golden Hill St. for a report of a neighbor dispute. Police reported officers have responded to this residence multiple times in the past for similar incidents. Sultan Mustafa, 46, of 2455 Cruger Ave. 3g, Bronx, N.Y., was charged July 22 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 22 at 3 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an arrest warrant. The accused was released on a court-set $2,500 cash bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 23.

Fatos Terolli, 45, of 173 Birchfield Drive, Waterbury, was charged July 22 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on July 22 at approximately 9:46 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Salem Bridge for a motor vehicle accident. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 3.

Troop I reported the following charges recently filed in Beacon Falls and Prospect:

Kyle Andrew Vellucci, 21, of 370 S. Brooksvale Road, Cheshire, was charged July 10 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.

Mark G. Kehlenbach, 60, of Prospect, was charged July 10 with second-degree breach of peace.

Andrew Marshall Seay, 22, of 41 Summerfield St., Beacon Falls, was charged July 14 with disorderly conduct.

Duane Miller, 58, of 44 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, was charged July 18 with disorderly conduct.

John J. Atkins, 28, of 343 Rimmon Hill Road, Beacon Falls, was charged July 24 with first-degree failure to appear.
