The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

BRIAN JACKSON, 19, of 866 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 3 with second-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault on a victim under 16 years old and risk of injury to a child.

Police reported on Aug. 3 at approximately 3:41 p.m. Jackson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a sexual assault reported on June 22, 2015. Police reported Jackson assaulted a teenaged juvenile female victim, who was known to him on June 19, 2015. Jackson was given a court date of Aug. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $100,000 surety bond.

COREY WEAVER, 24, of, 22 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 3 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and third-degree strangulation.

Police reported on Aug. 3 at approximately 10:58 p.m. officers responded to 22 Oak St. Apt. 3 for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Weaver punched the victim. He also squeezed the victim’s body making it difficult for her to breathe, police reported. Weaver was given a court date of Aug. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

JAQUELINE SUAREZ, 45, of 21 Iroquois St., Peekskill, N.Y., was charged Aug. 4 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Aug. 4 officers responded to the area of New Haven Road for an erratic driver. An officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation on High Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Suarez was operating under the influence of alcohol. Suarez was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

RICARDO ORTIZ, 32, of 5 Windsor Place, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 4 with breach of peace, third-degree assault, first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree threatening and interfering with an officer. He was also charged Aug. 5 with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 4 officers responded to Windsor Place for a disturbance. During an argument with an acquaintance who lives nearby, police reported, Ortiz followed the victim home. Police reported Ortiz entered the home and grabbed and shook the victim. Ortiz exited the home and kicked the door refusing to leave the property, police reported. While Ortiz was being processed in the booking area of the Naugatuck Police Department, police reported, he became uncooperative with the officer. Ortiz became aggressive with the officer and pushed him, police reported. Ortiz was given a court date of Aug. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a total $35,000 surety bond.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 4:39 p.m. officers responded to 16 Windsor Place for a burglary. Police reported Ortiz entered the victim’s home without permission. Ortiz is an acquaintance of the victim. Police reported Ortiz left the victim’s home prior to the officers’ arrival and was located at his home. Ortiz was given a court date of Aug. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

MARK HAYDU, 51, of 196 Inwood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 4 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on Aug. 4 at approximately 10:35 p.m. officers responded to 196 Inwood Drive for a domestic disturbance between grandfather and grandson. During an argument, police reported, Haydu punched the victim and grabbed him around his neck. Haydu was given a court date of Aug. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

JONATHAN ST. PIERRE, 33, of Norris St., Waterbury, was charged with driving under the influence and interfering with an officer.

BRENNAN MORIARTY, 24, of 11 Whitney Road, Bethel, was charged Aug. 5 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 10:25 a.m. an officer responded to Oak Street for a parking complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Moriarty violated a protective order. Moriarty was found in the victim’s home, police reported. Moriarty was given a court date of Aug. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

WILLIAM CIRKUS, 29, of 153 Hawthorne Ave., Derby, was charged Aug. 5 with sixth-degree larceny.

BONITA CECCARELLI, 66, of 45 Goodyear Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 6:29 p.m. officers responded to 45 Goodyear Ave. for a domestic disturbance. Police reported Amanda Ceccarelli and David Ceccarelli were arguing while Amanda Ceccarelli was driving. David Ceccarelli exited the vehicle and kicked the door causing a dent, police reported. When Amanda Ceccarelli arrived home she was involved in an argument with Bonita Ceccarelli which escalated into a physical altercation, police reported. Ceccarelli was given a court date of Aug. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

AMANDA CECCARELLI, 35, of 45 Goodyear Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 6:29 p.m. officers responded to 45 Goodyear Ave. for a domestic disturbance. NIKOLAS PELLEGRINO, 18, of 116 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 5 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 10:15 p.m. officers responded to Lines Hill Road for a disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Pellegrino shoved the victim, who is an acquaintance. Pellegrino was given a court date of Aug. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JESIE ROJAS, 19, of 159 Red Robin Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 6 with conspiracy to commit fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Aug. 6 at approximately 12:51 a.m. an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle leaving Breen’s Field. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Rojas, accompanied by two juvenile males, spray painted graffiti under the Salem Bridge. Rojas was given a court date of Aug. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,000 surety bond.

EMILY DATCHER, 21, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with third-degree forgery and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 4:58 p.m. Datcher was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a forgery complaint made on June 3, 2015. Datcher stole a check from the victim and cashed it in the amount of $75, police reported. Datcher was given a court date of Aug. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JOST SCHREIBER, 71, of 336 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 4:47 p.m. officers responded to 336 North Hoadley St. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Schreiber ripped a telephone off the wall. Schreiber was given a court date of Aug. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

KYLE W. VAITUZIS, 25, of 20 Washington St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and possession in a school zone.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 5:43 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Hoadley Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Vaituzis was operating under the influence. During the investigation, police reported, Vaituzis was found to be in possession of Alprazolam. Vaituzis was given a court date of Aug. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a surety bond.

JOANNE JONES, 50, of 44 Overton Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 8 with sixth-degree in the larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 12:24 a.m. Jones was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on May 15, 2015 at Rite Aid. Jones stole two bottles of Tide valued at $34.98, police reported. Jones was given a court date of Aug. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

AMANDA GOMEZ, 22, of 161 Prospect St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 8 with possession of controlled substance and prostitution.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 2 a.m. officers responded to Cross Street for a disabled motor vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gomez and Calvin Moore were in possession of 1.4 grams of crack cocaine and 1.2 grams of heroin. They admitted Moore picked up Gomez in Waterbury for sexual favors in exchange for money, police reported. Gomez was given a court date of Aug. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

CALVIN MOORE, 58, of 753 Tower Ave., Hartford, was charged Aug. 8 with possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and patronizing a prostitute.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 2 a.m. officers responded to Cross Street for a disabled motor vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Amanda Gomez and Calvin Moore were in possession of 1.4 grams of crack cocaine and 1.2 grams of heroin. They admitted Moore picked up Gomez in Waterbury for sexual favors in exchange for money, police reported. Moore was given a court date of Aug. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

EMANUEL JONES, 66, of 60 Whitney Place, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 9 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 7:08 p.m. officers responded to 60 Whitney Place for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Jones threw a kitchen chair. Jones was given a court date of Aug. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
