The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

THALES SILVA, 18, of 338 Cherry St. Ext., Naugatuck, was charged May 18 with second-degree harassment.

Police reported on May 18 at approximately 6:35 p.m. Silva was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassment complaint. Police reported Silva contacted the victim through text messages when he was advised not to. Silva was given a court date of May 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

RICHARD WOOD, 77, of 62 Avalon Circle, Waterbury, was charged May 18 with fourth-degree sexual assault.

RICHARD SIMMONS, 33, of 108 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged May 18 with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 18 at approximately 4:55 p.m. Simmons was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Simmons grabbed the victim by her neck and held her down. Simmons was given a court date of May 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $75,000 surety bond.

VINCENT CODY, 22, of, 138 Kingswood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged May 18 with possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to sell marijuana.

LAWRENCE PASSINO, 54, of 88 Wilson St., Waterbury, was charged May 19 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 12:39 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Passino was operating under the influence of alcohol. Passino was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

BRADLEY ZITTELL, 32, of 192 Skokorat Road, Beacon Falls, was charged May 19 with possession of controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, non-student in possession of drugs near a school, high school or day care and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 3:57 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on High Street. During the investigation, police reported, Zittell and two others were found to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, needles, suboxone and a smoking pipe. While being processed Zittell was found to be in possession of heroin that he attempted to hide in his clothing, police reported. Zittell was given a court date of May 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,500 surety bond.

STEVEN SENDER, 38, of 647 Skokorat Road, Beacon Falls, was charged May 19 with possession of controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, non-student in possession of drugs near a school, high school or day care and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 3:57 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on High Street. During the investigation, police reported, Sender and two others were found to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, needles, suboxone and a smoking pipe. Police reported Sender attempted to hide narcotics in his clothing from the Officer. Sender was given a court date of May 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,500 surety bond.

JOSEPH HENNESSEY, 33, of 216 Skokorat Road, Beacon Falls, was charged May 19 with possession of controlled substance, narcotics kept only in original container, non-student in possession of drugs near a school, high school or day care and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 19 at approximately 3:57 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on High Street. During the investigation, police reported, Hennessey and two others were found to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, needles, suboxone and a smoking pipe. Hennessey was given a court date of May 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,500 surety bond.

During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Hennessey was wanted on an active arrest warrant for failure to appear. Hennessey was given a court date of May 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $250 cash bond.

CHRISTOPHER BAHNER-JACOBSON, 30, of 48 Rimmon Road, Woodbridge, was charged May 20 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 12:44 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Bahner-Jacobson was under the influence of alcohol. Bahner-Jacobson was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DONALD FITZGERALD, 30, of 54 Bingham St., Naugatuck, was charged May 20 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 9:33 a.m. Fitzgerald was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Fitzgerald was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $136 cash bond.

VINCENT KLOC, 49, of 466 Allerton Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 20 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on May 20 at approximately 2:22 p.m. Kloc was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Kloc was given a court date of May 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $100 cash bond.

PETER JOHANSEN, 29, of 61 Ash Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 21 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 21 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Johansen was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint made on April 17, 2015. Police reported Johansen stole jewelry valued at $450 and a snow blower valued at $1,099 from the victim. The victim’s stolen property was located at a pawn shop, police reported. Johansen was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

RODNEY CRAWLEY, 25, of 84 Lorann Drive, Naugatuck, was charged May 21 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on May 21 at approximately 2:54 p.m. Crawley was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister that occurred on May 5, 2015. During an argument, police reported, Crawley pushed and punched the victim. There was a child present during the altercation, police reported. Crawley was given a court date of May 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.

PETER GENOVA, 65, of 134 Straitsville Road, Prospect, was charged May 22 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 22 at approximately 4:20 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Genova stole a flexable hose valued at $17.97. Genova was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

ERIC DESOUSA, 21, of 63 Columbia Boulevard, Waterbury, was charged May 23 with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault and fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 23 at approximately 5:27 p.m. Desousa was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault reported on April 20. Police reported Desousa assaulted the victim, who is an acquaintance, and stole his cell phone. Desousa was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $30,000 surety bond.

JESIE ROJAS, 19, of 159 Red Robin Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with third-degree criminal mischief and reckless driving.

Police reported on May 23 at approximately 3:35 p.m. an officer responded to 175 Red Robin Road for a vandalism complaint. Police reported Rojas drove across the victim’s lawn and damaged solar powered lamps. Rojas was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

VITA CRUZ, 56, of 19 Elmwood St., Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 23 at approximately 7:41 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Cruz was operating under the influence of alcohol. Cruz was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ROGER PRATT, 26, of 139 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 23 Pratt was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Pratt was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

MICHAL NURCZYK, 26, of 65 Village Circle, Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with driving under the influence.

FRANCISCO MADERA, 33, of 158 Eastside Boulevard, Waterbury, was charged May 24 with interfering with an officer, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 3:10 p.m. Madera was arrested on active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on Dec. 23, 2014 at Game Stop. Police reported Madera stole merchandise totaling $34.96. When Madera was approached by an officer, police reported, he ran from the officer. Madera was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set surety bond.

MELISSA M. CHATELLE, 45, of 21 Carlton Place, West Warwick, R.I., was charged May 24 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 12:47 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Chatelle was operating under the influence of alcohol. Chatelle was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

WILLIAM ALVARADO JR., 40, of 21 Olive St. 2nd, Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 6:47 p.m. Alvarado was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Alvarado was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $150 cash bond.

YASDIEL MOYA, 33, of 20 Arch St., Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with breach of peace.

Police reported on May 24 officers responded to Arch Street for intoxicated male vandalizing a vehicle. Police reported Moya damaged the rear window of the victim’s vehicle. The victim is known to Moya. Police reported Moya also did damage to his apartment as a result of an argument with a girlfriend. Moya was given a court date of May 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
