Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Robert Russett, 50, of 22 Orchard St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 1 with risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Aug. 1 Russett was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an incident reported on May 6, 2018. Police reported Russett exposed himself to a juvenile who is known to him. He was given a court date of Aug. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

William Milot, 28, of 1568 Meriden Road, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 1 with three counts of third-degree larceny, second-degree forgery, third-degree forgery, two counts of third-degree identity theft, fifth-degree larceny, credit card theft and illegal use of credit card.

Police reported on Aug. 1 Milot was arrested on an active warrant. The warrant was for larceny reported on May 31, 2018. Police reported Milot was part of a cleaning crew hired to clean the victim’s home. While in the home, police reported, Milot stole several remote control cars from the victim. The total value for the stolen remote cars was $3,000, police reported. Milot also stole the victim’s credit cards and made fraudulent purchases on the accounts, police reported. Milot was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

Noel Torres, Jr., 28, of 256 Austin Road, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 2 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 2 at approximately 3:37 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Torres stole a blu ray player, Zippo and other merchandise totaling $101.93. Torres was given a court date of Aug. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Ricardel Pierre-Charles, 26, of 39 Bayview Ave., Norwalk, was charged Aug. 2 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 2 Pierre-Charles was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on May 27, 2018. During an argument, police reported, Pierre-Charles punched a hole in the wall and knocked over a TV. Pierre-Charles was given a court date of Aug. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set promise to appear.

Richard C. Pimental, 25, of 166 Wedgewood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 3 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Aug. 2 at approximately 11:58 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Lorann Drive. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Pimental was operating under the influence of alcohol. Pimental was given a court date of Aug. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Christina Gildea, 34, of 25 Tenth St., Derby, was charged Aug. 3 with three counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 3 at 7:10 a.m. Gildea voluntarily surrendered at police headquarters on outstanding arrest warrants. Gildea was held on bond and transferred to Waterbury Superior Court for her appearance.

Janice Boccardi, 57, of 29 Geddes Terrace, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 3 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported Boccardi was arrested on the above listed charges that stemmed from a traffic stop on Spring Street. Boccardi was released on a $500 non-surety bond pending her appearance at Waterbury Superior Court.

Sean Steven Gwara, 43, of 69 Harmond Place, Wethersfield, was charged Aug. 3 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported Gwara was taken into custody for the above mentioned charges that were discovered during the course of a traffic stop on Bridge Street. Gwara was released on bond and is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Freddy Soto, 30, of 170 Hillside Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 3 with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on Aug. 3 at approximately 7:22 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart at 1100 New Haven Road on a report of a suspicious person possibly smoking marijuana outside of the store. Upon arrival, loss prevention directed them to a subject who had been identified smoking marijuana outside the store, then entered Walmart and refused to leave after being ordered to do so by store staff, police reported. Soto was taken into custody and charged with the listed offenses. Soto was released on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Patrick A. Benner, 36, of 827 Oronoke Road, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 4 with reckless driving and engaging police in pursuit.

Police reported Officer Thomas McGarvey was conducting radar enforcement on Spring Street when he clocked Benner traveling at a faster than legal speed on Spring Street. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, police reported, but Benner accelerated away from the officer, failing to stop. The officer terminated his attempt at stopping the vehicle. Naugatuck police officers subsequently went to Benner’s residence, took him into custody, and he was charged the aforementioned charges. Benner is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Frances A. Mirabilio, 60, of 244 Main St., Woodbury, was charged Aug. 4 with first-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and illegal possession of large capacity magazine.

Police reported police were dispatched for a complaint of a landlord/tenant dispute. During the course of the investigation, police reported, it was determined that Mirabilio had been involved in an argument with her tenant over the number of dogs inside the apartment. During the argument, police reported, a handgun was displayed. A handgun was subsequently recovered by police. The handgun had an illegal magazine, police reported. Mirabilio was released after posting bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Argene Vanse Dupree, 25, of 49 Wyman St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 5 with second-degree failure to appear.

During the course of officers conducting increased patrols in the North Main Street area, police reported, Dupree was identified as a passenger in a vehicle on a traffic stop with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Dupree was taken into custody and released after posting bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

James R. Aho, 40, of 75 Melbourne Court, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 6 with three counts of second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 5 at approximately 12:09 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Aho damaged the home by punching holes in a wall and flipping over a kitchen table. Aho was given a court date of Aug. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $50,000 surety bond.

Stephanie Amber Metevier, 23, of 166 Shepard St., Hamden, was charged Aug. 6 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 6 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Metevier turned herself in on active arrest warrants out of Torrington. Metevier was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Torrington Superior Court and released on a court-set surety bond.

Nathaniel Magazine, 53, of 67 Wlanut Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 6 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported Magazine entered the Mobile station on South Main Street and took an E-cigarette display and merchandise off the counter and ran from the store. Magazine was confronted by store staff and dropped the merchandise while fleeing in the parking lot, police said. Naugatuck Police located Magazine a short time later while walking on Route 8, police reported. Magazine was held on bond pending his appearance at Waterbury Superior Court.

Christopher Denison Joseph, 30, of 74 Main St., Woodbury, was charged Aug. 7 with use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 2:16 a.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle on North Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, Joseph was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The drug paraphernalia consisted of a glass smoking pipe, hypodermic needles and empty glassine bags, police reported. Joseph was given a court date of Aug. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Meghan L. Davey, 32, of 192 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 6 a.m. Davey was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Davey was given a court date of Aug. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Tayvius Tayquan Stokes, 23, of 174 Maybury Circle, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 7 with first-degree failure to appear and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 7 a.m. Stokes turned himself in on active arrest warrants. Stokes was given a court date of Aug. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on surety bond.

Joshua Tulley, 25, of 69 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported Tulley was taken into custody by DEEP police at High Rock State Park before being transferred to Naugatuck police for the servicing of the arrest warrant. Tulley was released on a $92 cash bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Isaiah N. Thomas, 30, of 41 Holmes Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 8 with sale of drugs and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported in recent months the Naugatuck Police Department Detective Division initiated an investigation into street-level narcotics sales in the North Main Street area of the borough. Through investigative efforts, detectives developed information that illegal narcotics sales were occurring at 280 North Main St. Third Floor Apartment 3E, Naugatuck. Detectives obtained a search-and-seizure warrant for the aforementioned location. Police reported the search warrant was executed in the early morning hours of Aug. 8, 2018 with the assistance of Waterbury police. The search warrant was executed without incident and resulted in the seizure of heroin and marijuana, police reported. Thomas was located on the premises and taken into custody for the above listed charges. Thomas was held on bond pending his appearance at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 9.
