The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

FELIZ DIAZ, 59, of 128 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 22 with failure to register: non-violent sex offense or offense against minor.

Police reported on Sept. 22 Diaz was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for sex offender registry violation. Diaz was noncompliant in verifying his address, police reported. Diaz was given a court date of Sept. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $25,000 surety bond.

KELLY VAN VALKENBURGH, 39, of 29 Simsberry Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 22 with first-degree larceny and third-degree forgery.

Police reported on Sept. 22 at approximately 11 p.m. Van Valkenburgh turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a forged check complaint. Van Valkenburgh stole the victim’s checkbook and forged checks totaling over $28,000, police reported. Van Valkenburgh was given a court date of Sept. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

DANIEL CILFONE, 30, of 507 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 22 with illegal operation of motor vehicle without ignition device.

Police reported on Sept. 22 Cilfone was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an ignition interlock device violation. The officer was investigating an evading motor vehicle accident on Aug. 1, 2015. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Cilfone is required to have an IID on any vehicle he operates. Cilfone was operating a Ford Ranger, which was not equipped with an IID on the day of the accident, police reported. Cilfone was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

ANDREA HALL, 52, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 22 with illegal use of credit card, credit card theft by transfer and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 22 Hall was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny of a debit card reported on Sept. 1, 2015. Police reported Hall stole the victim’s credit card and withdrew $340. Hall and the victim are acquaintances. Hall was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

DANIEL ZILLI, 24, of 67 Commodor Commons, Derby, was charged Sept. 22 with third-degree burglary and second-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 22 Zilli was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Sept. 10, 2015. Police reported Zilli entered the victim’s basement and stole a dirt bike and power tools. Zilli was given a court date of Sept. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $100,000 court-set surety bond.

ANTON MATT, 25, of 57 Stonybrook Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 22 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Sept. 22 at approximately 12:35 a.m. officers responded to Field Street for a motor vehicle accident. Police reported Matt struck a telephone pole off the shoulder at the intersection of Field Street and Millville Avenue. There were no injuries reported on scene. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Matt was operating under the influence of alcohol. Matt was given a court date of Oct. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

SAMANTHA CIRRINCIONE, 21, of 451 Roosevelt Drive, Oxford, was charged Sept. 22 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Sept. 22 at approximately 2:28 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Exit 26 of Route 8. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Cirrincione was operating under the influence of alcohol. Cirrincione was given a court date of Oct. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ANDRE RICE, 39, of 11 Coe St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 22 with second-degree failure to appear and failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Sept. 22 at approximately 2:33 a.m. Rice was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Rice was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

EDWARD DORAN, 75, of 171 Coleman St., Bridgeport, was charged Sept. 23 with illegal sexual contact of victim under the age of 16.

Police reported on Sept. 23 at approximately 1:35 p.m. Doran was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a sexual assault reported on May 1, 2015, where Doran inappropriately touched a female juvenile, police reported. Doran was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $100,000 surety bond.

DAVID WELLS, 44, of 369 Woodbridge Drive, Ridge, was charged Sept. 23 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 23 Wells was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Wells was given a court date of Sept. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

DUDELIA SILVA, 41, of 387 Center St., Meriden, was charged Sept. 23 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 23 at approximately 2:06 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Silva stole $126.21 worth of merchandise. Silva was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

STWEART FREEMAN, 62, homeless, was charged Sept. 23 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Sept. 23 at approximately 3:19 p.m. Freeman was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Freeman was given a court date of Sept. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $103 cash bond.

ADAM M. ERDELY, 34, of 23 Olive St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 23 with two counts of sixth-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree burglary and manufacture or possession of burglar’s tools.

Police reported on Sept. 23 at approximately 10:40 p.m. officers responded to 94 Gorman St. for a larceny complaint. During the investigation, police reported, Erdely was located on Cherry Street where he had just entered another victim’s vehicle and stole credit cards. Erdely was given a court date of 9/24/15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Police reported on Sept. 23 at approximately 10:40 p.m. officers responded to 94 Gorman St. for a larceny complaint. Erdely entered the victim’s vehicle and stole credit cards, a wallet and money, police reported. Erdely was given a court date of 9/24/15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was held on a $5,000 surety bond.

AJA MANTEL, 30, of 25 Sunny Ridge Parkway, Trumbull, was charged Sept. 24 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 24 at approximately 5:59 p.m. Mantel turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Jan. 26, 2015. Police reported Mantel stole the victim’s PlayStation valued at $399. Mantel was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $750 surety bond.

BRANDON POMERENK, 20, of 6 Longwood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 24 with illegal sale of marijuana.

Police reported on Sept. 24 at approximately 7:23 p.m. Pomerenk turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a narcotics investigation during the month of March 2015. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Pomerenk sold marijuana. Pomerenk was given a court date of Sept. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $75,000.00 surety bond.

COLIN SASKOR, 10, of 41 Washington St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 24 with illegal sale of controlled substance.

Police reported on Sept. 24 at approximately 12:50 p.m. Saskor was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a narcotics investigation during the month of March 2015. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Saskor sold narcotic pills. Saskor was given a court date of Sept. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $200,000 surety bond.

JAKOB SEARS, 23, of 23 Westminster Ave., Shelton, was charged Sept. 24 with fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 24 at approximately 3:14 p.m. Sears was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported June 12, 2015. Police reported Sears stole the victim’s Samsung Tablet and Porter Cable Compressor. Sears was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

TYLER SYNOTT, 23, of 72 New St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 24 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Sept. 24 Synott was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Synott was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $150 court-set cash bond.

BENNETT LANGSTON, 26, of 25 Porter Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 24 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 24 Langston was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Langston was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 court-set cash bond.

LAWRENCE CARDINAL, 53, of 36 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 24 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 24 Cardinal was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Cardinal was given a court date of Sept. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

DANIEL ROOS, 33, of 47 Winter St., Ansonia, was charged Sept. 25 with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Police reported on Sept. 25 at approximately 12:13 a.m. officers responded to Church Street for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Roos approached the victim while she was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot. During an argument, police reported, Roos grabbed the victim’s arm and neck. He caused a laceration on her lower lip, police reported. Roos was given a court date of Sept. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

FLETCHER TWUM, 23, of 950 Union Ave., Bronx, N.Y., was charged Sept. 25 with first-degree sexual assault.

Police reported on Sept. 25 Twum was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a sexual assault reported on May 4, 2015. Police reported Twum had sexual intercourse with a female victim who was too impaired to consent due to consumption of alcohol. Twum is known to the victim. Twum was given a court date of Sept. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court set $500,000 cash bond.

MELISSA CEGIELSKI, 34, of 498 Washington St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 25 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 25 at approximately 11:34 a.m. Cegielski was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Cegielski was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $150 cash bond.

JOHN KNIGHTON JR., 22, of 915 Asylum Ave., Hartford, was charged Sept. 25 with second-degree failure to appear and failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Sept. 25 at approximately 05 a.m. Knighton was arrested on active arrest warrants. Knighton was given a court date of Sept. 28 and held on a court-set cash bond.

JOSE QUEIROS, 47, of 189 Allerton Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 25 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 25 at approximately 11:50 p.m. Queiros was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Queiros was given a court date of Sept. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,500 cash bond.

NASIR GIBSON, 24, of 108 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 26 with two counts of violation of protective order, breach of peace, two counts of risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of first-0degree failure to appear and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 26 at approximately 5 a.m. officers responded to 108-4 Lantern Park Drive for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. Police reported Gibson violated a protective order by entering the home. During an argument, police reported, Gibson took the victim’s cell phone and threw it. Gibson also damaged a door in the home, police reported. The altercation took place in front of children. Gibson left the residence with the children but was located a short distance from the home, police reported. Police reported Gibson was also arrested on active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a violation of a protective order reported on Aug. 3, 2015. Police reported Gibson violated a protective order by entering the residence. During an argument, police reported, Gibson grabbed the victim by her neck. Gibson was given a court date of Sept. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set surety bond.

ALEXANDER ONESCHUK, 68, of 1057 Andrew Mountain Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 26 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 26 Oneschuk was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Oneschuk was given a court date of Sept. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and was released on a $500 surety bond.

RICKEY HANEY, 28, of 240 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 26 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation.

Police reported on Sept. 26 at approximately 5:05 p.m. officers responded to 248 Spring St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, the accused punched the victim and pressed his forearm into her neck. Haney was given a court date of Sept. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $30,000 surety bond.

JANELLE MAIA, 24, of 117 Curtiss St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 27 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Sept. 27 at approximately 3:37 p.m. Maia was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Maia was given a court date of Oct. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $250 cash bond.

ANTHONY ALVARADO, 18, of 21 Olive St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 27 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Sept. 27 at approximately 4:20 p.m. officers responded to 21 Olive St. for a domestic disturbance between mother and son. During an argument, police reported, Alvarado damaged property in the home. Police reported Alvarado left the residence prior to the officers’ arrival and was found walking in the area. Police reported Alvarado ran from the officer but was stopped a short time later. Alvarado was given a court date of Sept. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
