The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Garfield Marriott, 50, of 241 Soundview Ave., Stamford, was charged March 5 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 5 at approximately 4:47 p.m. Marriott was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a narcotic violation reported on Dec. 18, 2016. Police reported Marriott was found unconscious in the driver seat of a vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Marriott was operating under the influence of a narcotic. Marriott was given a court date of March 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Christopher Krantz, 42, of 64 Scott Ave., Watertown, was charged March 6 with sixth-degree larceny, illegal use of credit card, credit card theft and third-degree identity theft.

Police reported on March 6 Krantz was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he was at court. The warrant was for an illegal use of a credit card reported on Jan. 14, 2017. Police reported Krantz found the victim’s wallet that was dropped in a parking lot of business. Krantz used the victim’s credit card to make several purchases at different stores, police reported. Krantz was given a court date of March 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

David Adamson, 26, of 551 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged March 6 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on March 6 at approximately 2:44 p.m. Adamson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on March 6. During an argument, police reported, Adamson grabbed the victim by her neck causing red marks. Adamson was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

Antonio David Pitt, 18, of 177 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged March 7 with first-degree assault, conspiracy at first-degree assault, breach of peace and conspiracy at second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on March 7 at approximately 7 a.m. Pitt was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault that occurred on Nov. 14, 2016 at the town Green. Police reported Pitt fought with juvenile males, due to an early dispute. Police reported Pitt was carrying a bat during the altercation and two victims were struck with the bat. One of the juvenile victim’s sustained a minor concussion and bruising to his eye, police reported. Pitt was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $50,000 surety bond.

Ebonee Pittman, 36, of 100 Mark Lane, Waterbury, was charged March 7 with risk of injury to child.

Police reported on March 7 police served an active arrest warrant on Pittman stemming from an incident that occurred on or about Jan. 27, 2017. Police reported Pittman was involved in an incident involving two juveniles, which were under her care, and she tied the children’s hands with a belt. The incident was reported to police by the children’s mother. The juveniles did not sustain any serious injuries from the incident, police reported.

Michelle Henry, 34, of 148 School St., Bristol, was charged March 7 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 7 at approximately 9:55 a.m. Henry was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Henry was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $20,000 surety bond.

Steven Hamel, 29, of 131 Ward St., Naugatuck, was charged March 7 with sixth-degree larceny. Illegal use of credit card, third-degree identity theft, three counts of second-degree failure to appear and two counts of violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on March 7 Hamel was served an active arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 30, 2016 in which Hamel stole a credit card of a person he knew and used it to make purchases without the owner’s permission. Police reported Hamel was also arrested on warrants for failure to appear and arrested on violation of probation. Hamel was held on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 8.

Jonathan Cruz, 35, of 1154 Bank St., Waterbury, was charged March 8 with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy at third-degree burglary, conspiracy at third-degree criminal mischief, and conspiracy at sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 8 at approximately 12:56 Cruz was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a commercial burglary reported on Nov. 17, 2016. Police reported Cruz forced entry to the business, causing damage, and stole money. Cruz was given a court date of March 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $25,000 surety bond.

David Adamson, 49, of 925 Oronoke Road, Waterbury, was charged March 8 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on March 8 at approximately 3:23 p.m. Adamson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Adamson was given a court date of March 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

Corie Marshall, 20, of 222 Osborn Road, Naugatuck, was charged March 8 with possession of controlled substance and weapons in vehicles.

Police reported on March 8 at approximately 9:10 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Wisteria Drive. During the investigation, police reported, Marshall was found to be in possession of narcotics. Marshall was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Denise Prime, 60, of 457 South Leonard St., Waterbury, was charged March 9 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 9 Prime was arrested in connection to a shoplifting incident that occurred at the Stop & Shop store on Rubber Avenue. Police reported Prime was observed walking out of the store with multiple items totaling $115.72 without paying for them. Prime was given a court date of March 22 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 bond.

Thomas Matthews, 59, of 111 Wooster St., Naugatuck, was charged March 9 with violation of protective order and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 9 at approximately 8:38 p.m. officers responded to 11 Wooster St. on a domestic related disturbance. The victim advised that Matthews, who is domestically related to the victim, grabbed her by the shoulders during a disagreement, police reported. Matthews had been previously issued a protective order, which officers determined had been violated during the incident, police reported. Matthews was arrested and released on a $5,000 bond and issued a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 10.

Garrett Baker, 33, of 84 Deering Lane, Waterbury, was charged March 10 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy at sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 10 at approximately 8:14 p.m. Baker was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint made on Sept. 15, 2016 from New Haven Road. Police reported Baker stole a leaf blower, valued at $499.00, from the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was parked at a business on New Haven Road at the time of the incident, police reported. Baker was given a court date of March 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $150 cash bond.

William St. Hilaire, 28, of 430 Washington Ave., Waterbury, was charged March 10 with possession of controlled substance, interfering with an officer, breach of peace, second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was charged March 11 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on March 10 at approximately 5:03 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance on South Main Street between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported St. Hilaire arrived at the victim’s home and forced entry to the home. The victim fled her home and contacted the police. St. Hilaire was found later in the evening at a local business where he was taken into custody, police reported. St. Hilaire was given a court date of March 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $75,000 surety bond.

Police reported on March 10 officers responded to a suspicious person complaint at the Mobil on South Main Street. Police reported St. Hilaire gave a false name to the officer during the investigation. St. Hilaire was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, police reported. St. Hilaire was given a court date of March 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Police reported on March 11 St. Hilaire was arrested on a violation of probation. St. Hilaire was held on a $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 13.

Jon Spencer, 27, of 33 South 3rd St., Meriden, was charged March 10 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 10 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Naugatuck police initiated a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street at Old Firehouse Road. During the stop, police reported, Spencer was observed to be operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Spencer was given a court date of March 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

David Whitney, 21, of 134 Long Meadow Drive, Waterbury, was charged March 11 with interfering with an officer and breach of peace.

Police reported on March 11 at about 1:12 a.m. Naugatuck police were called to 66 Church St. on a report of an unwanted person. Officers located Whitney, who was found to be highly impaired, police reported. Officers attempted to contact a ride for Whitney, police reported, however he became upset and belligerent with officers and upon arrival of his ride, he refused officers repeated request to leave. Whitney was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 22.

Ali Keita, 26, of 2436 Park Ave., Bridgeport, was charged March 11 with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, third-degree assault, interfering with an emergency call, threatening, second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

Police reported on March 11 Naugatuck police responded to 12 Aetna St. on a domestic-related burglary and assault involving Keita, a male victim and a female victim. Keita and the female victim advised that they used to be involved in a domestic relationship and recently broke up, police reported. The victim advised that Keita broke into her home by smashing through a window and striking a male subject located in the residence, police reported. The male victim suffered apparent but non-life-threatening injuries, police reported. Keita was held on a $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 13.

John Karcher, 20, of 151 Hillcrest Ave., Oakville, was charged March 11 with breach of peace and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on March 11 at approximately 12:32 p.m. Karcher was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint made on Oct. 29, 2016. Police reported Karcher continued to contact the victim after he was advised not to. Karcher was given a court date of March 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Matthew Sherwood, 18, of 186 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged March 11 with breach of peace and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on March 11 at approximately 12:15 p.m. Sherwood turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint. Police reported Sherwood continued to contact the victim through text messages after being advised not to. Sherwood was given a court date of March 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Marion O’Brian, 31, of 88 Day St., New Haven, was charged March 12 with two counts of sixth-degree larceny and two counts of first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on March 12 at approximately 7:16 p.m. O’Brian was arrested on active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a larceny complaint made on Feb. 9, 2017 at Walmart. Police reported O’Brian attempted to steal $245 worth of merchandise. The merchandise was recovered by an employee, police reported. O’Brian was previously banned from the store due to a past larceny, police reported. The second warrant was for a larceny reported on Feb. 26 from Walmart. Police reported O’Brian stole a stroller valued at $139. O’Brian was given a court date of March 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a bond.
