The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

SHAWN SCHUMP, 36, of 1675 Litchfield Turnpike, Woodbridge, was charged Dec. 24 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 24 at approximately 5:20 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Schump stole a 18V impact driver valued at $87. Schump was given a court date of Jan. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ASHELY FAMIGLIETTI, 23, of 13 Seth Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 26 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Dec. 26 Famiglietti was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Famiglietti was given a court date of Jan. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $75 cash bond.

ELECIA ASHTON, 21, of 59 Haggerty Court, Naugatuck was charged Dec. 26 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 26 Ashton was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Ashton was given a court date of Dec. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 cash bond.

JESSICA RODRIGUEZ, 28, of 48 Washington St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 26 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 26 Rodriguez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Rodriguez was given a court date of Jan. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $250 cash bond.

HANNAH JONES, 20, of 853 Field St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 26 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 26 Jones was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Jones was given a court date of Jan. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $150 cash bond.

BRANDON FORTIER, 25, of Waterbury, was charged Dec. 27 with attempt to commit second-degree larceny and breach of peace.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at approximately 6:34 a.m. Fortier turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an attempt of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim was making a delivery to Dunkin Donuts on Bridge Street. He parked the box truck and was preparing the delivery when Fortier entered the truck and attempted to drive away, police reported. The victim was able to chase Fortier away from the truck, police reported. Fortier was given a court date of Dec. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $200 cash bond.

PATRICIA FRANK, 54, of 289 Ward St., Wallingford, was charged Dec. 27 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at approximately 9:08 a.m. Frank turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. Frank was given a court date of Jan. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $25,000 court-set surety bond.

MARIO RODRIGUES, 67, of 20 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 27 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at approximately 8:15 p.m. officers responded to Prospect Street for an erratic driver. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Rodrigues was operating under the influence of alcohol. Rodrigues was given a court date of Jan. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ROBERT LUNDEQUIST, 29, of 570 May St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 27 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Dec. 27 at approximately 11:24 p.m. officers responded to 570 May St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Lundequist knocked the victim to the floor. The victim sustained a scratch to her cheek and neck, police reported. Lundequist was given a court date of Dec. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

KIMBERLEY DUNN, 35, of 65 Eldridge St., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 29 with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary, credit card theft, third-degree identity theft and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 29 Dunn turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Dec. 12, 2016. Police reported Dunn entered the victim’s vehicle, which was parked at a business on New Haven Road, and stole credit cards and a cell phone. Police reported Dunn then made fraudulent purchases using the victim’s credit cards at various businesses. Dunn was given a court date of Dec. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.

ESMAHAN SAFI, 41, of 246 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 29 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 29 at approximately 8:50 a.m. Safi turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. Safi was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $100 cash bond.

JAUAN BENEVIDES, 21, of 41A Hawkins St., Derby, was charged Dec. 29 with possession of controlled substance, illegal sale of controlled substance and distribution of controlled substances with 1,500 of a school.

Police reported on Dec. 29 at approximately 3:58 p.m. an officer was investigating an evading motor vehicle accident. While speaking with Benevides, police reported, the officer observed marijuana inside the vehicle. Benevides was found to be in possession of .68 ounces of marijuana, police reported. Benevides was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

ZACHARY DYER, 28, of 5 Whitecroft, Waterbury, was charged Dec. 30 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 30 at approximately 1:42 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Meadow Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Dyer was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Dyer was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 cash bond.

MATTHEW DUNCAN, 18, of 46 Williams Drive, Prospect, was charged Dec. 30 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 30 at approximately 2:44 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Duncan, accompanied with a juvenile, stole $54.05 worth of lighters and air fresheners. Duncan was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

BENJAMIN DAY, 19, of 509 Spring St., Naugatuck was charged Dec. 30 with first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 30 Day was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on June 10, 2016 at the Union City Little League. Police reported Day, with a juvenile accomplice, stole food and money from the concession stand. Day was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

TERANCE POPE, 38, of 55 Bishop St., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 30 with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and Dec. 31 with second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 30 at approximately 4:36 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Pope arrived at the victim’s home and initiated an argument. When Pope left the home, police reported, he broke a window on the victim’s vehicle. Pope was given a court date of Jan. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Police reported on Dec. 31 Pope turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Se.pt 25, 2016 between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Pope slapped, punched and grabbed the victim by her throat. Pope was given a court date of Jan. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $50,000 surety bond.

SCOTT KIMMER, 45, of 13 Seth Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 31 with second-degree forgery and identity theft.

Police reported on Dec. 31 at approximately 10:45 a.m. Kimmer turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a forgery complaint reported on Oct. 28, 2016. Police reported Kimmer used the victim’s name and forged his signature to a bill of sale for a vehicle. Kimmer was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 cash bond.

ANTHONY DIORIO, 29, of 18 Rockridge Terrace, Prospect, was charged Dec. 31 with breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on Dec. 31 at approximately 12:55 p.m. Diorio turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassment complaint reported on Dec. 26, 2016. Police reported Diorio sent numerous text messages to the victim using obscenities and stating he is going to harm one of the victim’s friends. Diorio was given a court date of Jan. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

BRANDON SANTOS, 20, of 20 Diamond St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 31 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 31 at approximately 2:14 a.m. officers responded to North Main Street for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Santos was operating under the influence of alcohol. Police reported Santos did not have a driver’s license and the vehicle he was operating was not registered or insured. Santos was given a court date of Jan. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

JETT MADISON BLACK, 19, of 8 Pond St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 1 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Jan. 1 an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Black was in possession of marijuana. Black was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

KENNETH WEED JR., 44, of 9 Beaver Brook Road, Danbury, was charged Jan. 1 with disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Jan. 1 at approximately 2:09 a.m. Weed was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Sept. 22, 2016 between husband and wife. After an argument, police reported, Weed damaged a vehicle owned by the victim. Weed punctured two tires and broke a window, police reported. Weed was given a court date of Jan. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 court-set surety bond.

ROGER JENSEN, 26, of 120 City Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 2 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Jan. 2 at approximately 12:09 a.m. Jensen was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Jensen was given a court date of Jan. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
