Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Martin Corbett, 19, of 153 Pondview Circle, Beacon Falls, was charged Jan. 27 with two counts of third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Jan. 27 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused “tagged” multiple locations with spray paint. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 5.

Joshua Silverman, 29, of 126 Eastwood Road, Torrington, was charged Jan. 27 with engaging police in pursuit, evading responsibility-injury/property damage, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer/resisting, and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Jan. 27 at approximately 10:14 p.m. an officer tried to initiate a motor vehicle stop in the area of Beacon Valley Road by Cotton Hollow Road. Police report the officer attempted to stop the vehicle. Police reported the accused then sped away from the scene after the officer exited his cruiser and approached the accused. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was found that the accused was operating a motor vehicle with no insurance, no registration, improper marker plate, and a suspended license, and the accused had two outstanding failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. Police reported the accused was later apprehended in Woodbridge after crashing his vehicle. Police reported the accused had in his possession a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The accused was held on surety bond and scheduled to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 28.

Thomas D. Coney, 46, of 218 Wheeler Road, Litchfield, was charged Jan. 27 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Jan. 27 at approximately 10:16 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Cumberland Farms, 527 North Main St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.

Ajjalil Omari Hanna, 21, of 275 West Ivy St., New Haven, was charged Jan. 28 with failure to respond-payable violation.

Police reported on Jan. 28 the accused was arrested on an active failure to respond to an infraction arrest warrant. The accused was held on a $150 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 29.

Rayquan Lamar Livingston, 23, of 87 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 29 with theft of plates/inserts.

Police reported on Jan. 29 at approximately 4:06 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 500 South Main St. by American Pie restaurant. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and stolen registration plates. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.

Juan Carlos Rebollo-Maldonado, 38, of 83 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 30 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and reckless driving.

Police reported on Jan. 30 at approximately 12:28 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the Spring Street area of Naugatuck. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be recklessly operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 13.

David Brian Barraco, 32, of 69 Coen St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 30 with fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Jan. 30 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused stole money from the bank account of a family member over a period of time. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 12.

Olivia Marie Santana, 21, of 16 Adaline St., New Haven, was charged Jan. 30 with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police reported on Jan. 30 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused fraudulently stole money from People’s Bank for approximately $3,062.01 over a period of time. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 12.

Sierra D. Sumpf, 39, of 79 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 30 with second-degree breach of peace and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Jan. 30 officers responded to 79 Woodbine St. for a dispute between tenants at the residence where the accused spit on a vehicle and hit the hood of the vehicle with her hand multiple times. During the investigation, police reported, officers determined the accused was in operation of her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol just prior to their arrival. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 19.

Amber L. Arcovio, 30, of 154 Aetna St. Apt. 1 Fl., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 30 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Jan. 30 officers responded to a residence in Naugatuck for a domestic disturbance were the accused was intoxicated and throwing items. Through their investigation, police reported, officers determined the accused was drinking in her residence and became agitated. Police reported the accused threw items inside her residence and toward her boyfriend. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 31.

Darrin James Amore II, 33, of 175 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 30 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Jan. 29 at approximately 11:26 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation as the accused pulled into the Mobil gas station on South Main Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The accused was released on a $500.00 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 13.

Angelika Bakota, 21, of 417 South Main St., Seymour, was charged Jan. 31 with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny and third-degree identity theft.

Police reported on Jan. 31 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused fraudulently stole money from People’s Bank for approximately $3,062.01 over a period of time with an accomplice. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 12.

Kasheem Gerald Bryant, 45, of 41 Tyler Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 31 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Jan. 31 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $500 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 12.

Laura L. Paige, 54, of 24 Clark Hill Road, Prospect, was charged Jan. 31 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Prospect Street and Union City Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 13.

Gregory Caporuscio, 33, of 35 Hubbell Ave., Watertown, was charged Feb. 1 with reckless driving and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Feb. 1 at approximately 1:37 a.m. officers were in the area of Route 8 north at exit 27 when an erratic driver drove past the officer’s location. During the investigation, police reported, officers later located the described vehicle crashed due to a swerve in the roadway. Police reported officers determined that the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and recklessly operating a motor vehicle. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 13.

Michel Crowell, 45, of 38 Green St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 2 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 2 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 12.

Octavia Jones, 35, of 376 Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 2 with third-degree assault and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Feb. 2 at approximately 12:25 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a neighbor dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused punched the victim in the face several times over a neighbor dispute. The accused was released on a
$2,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 12.

Jason P. Noss, 44, of 52 Damson Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 2 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 2 at approximately 11:10 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times in the face. The accused was held on a $1,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 3.
