Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Jesus Mago, 45, of 37 Linron Drive, Danbury, was charged Nov. 6 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Nov. 6 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant while in custody at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused tried to conceal merchandise from Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, with a value less than $500, and leave the store. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 6.

Richard Primo Lanci Jr., 23, of 190 French St., Watertown, was charged Nov. 6 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Nov. 6 at approximately 11:50 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Old Firehouse Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to obey the traffic signals. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 21.

Lillian Torres, 33, of 933 Rubber Ave. 10f, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 7 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 7 at approximately 9:32 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and items were thrown by the accused at the victim. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 8.

Richard Randolph Nigro, 53, of 248 F Oakville Ave., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 7 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Nov. 7 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant while in custody at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused tried to conceal merchandise from the Stop & Shop Supermarket, 727 Rubber Ave., with a value less than $500, and leave the store. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 7.

Kristi Marie Zabilski, 39, of 121 Hill St. Ext., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 7 with risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Nov. 7 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused failed to supervise her child by allowing the young child to be unattended outside of the residence without supervision. The accused was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Tommy Torres, 34, of 190 Birch Drive, Cheshire, was charged Nov. 8 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 8 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. The warrant was a valid re-arrest (PRAWN) warrant. The accused was held on a $75,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on
Nov. 8.

Jazmine Rodriguez, 21, of 60 Ridge Road Apt. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 8 with third-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trover.

Police reported on Nov. 8 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused stole a motor vehicle on or about Aug. 27, 2019 and later crashed the vehicle that same evening. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Justin Ruggles, 37, of 383 Wilson St., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 8 with interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Nov. 8 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused refused to cooperate with a police investigation on or about Oct. 7, 2019 involving a stolen motor vehicle. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Rui M. Borges, 55, of 73 Arch St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 9 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Nov. 9 at approximately 11:48 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Meadow Court and Church Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 21.

Ashante Yvette Sealy, 28, of 25 Pine Rock Road, New Haven, was charged Nov. 9 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Nov. 9 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused presented a gift card to the victim on or about Sept. 2, 2019 for cash. Police reported then the accused scammed the victim by taking the money off of the card prior to the victim using the card. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Heather Christine Praprotnik, 25, of 18 Galpin St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 9 with second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer and possession of less than half ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on Nov. 9 at approximately 10:20 p.m. officers were sent to the area of Cliff Street and Moore Avenue for a report of an intoxicated female staggering in the middle of the roadway. Police reported officers arrived and observed a person lying down in the front yard located at 53 Moore Ave. Police reported officers stated the accused became combative and was in possession of a controlled substance. Police reported the accused also was under the influence of alcohol. Police reported the accused was yelling and screaming loudly, which caused residents to exit their homes to see what had occurred. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Davionna Lovette Copeland, 20, of 140 Rosengarten Drive, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 10 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused had an argument with the victim over the care of a child. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.

Tammy Marie Wilcox, 39, of 47 Gorman St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 10 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 10 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident that was reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Oct. 25, 2019. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.
