Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Kylene Michelle LaFortune, 30, of 63 Clark Hill Road, Prospect, was charged Oct. 4 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 12:59 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Linden Street at North Main Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while failing to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Derek St. Hilaire, 19, of 535 Congress Ave., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 4 with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 10:47 p.m. the Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched Beacon Brook, 89 Weid Drive, for a report of an assault between several adult males. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused caused a disturbance in the work place involving paint balls being shot from a paint ball gun at another employee with threats. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Jamie T. Genovese, 48, of 1585 Highland Ave., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 4 with first-degree failure to appear and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 4 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was released on surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Ian A. Creaturo, 23, of 3 Willow Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 4 with assault of public safety or emergency medical personnel, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 6:31 p.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location for a domestic complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. Police reported the accused was arrested for the listed charges, which includes assaulting officers. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 17.

Jonathan Ulysses Miller, 34, of 102 Spring St. Apt. 6, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 4 with interfering with an officer/resisting, reckless driving and engaging police in pursuit.

Police reported on Oct. 4 at approximately 10:53 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 72 Bridge St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle recklessly with a suspended license and engaging officers in pursuit along with other motor vehicle charges. The accused was released on a $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 7.

Tyree Williams, 25, of 49 John St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 5 with disorderly conduct, second-degree unlawful restraint and with interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 1:28 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. The accused was released on $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 7.

Leomaris Perry, 36, of 53 Wisteria Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 5 at approximately 1:28 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. The accused was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 7.

Elijah Jayreed Cotto, 18, of 29 Alison Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 6 with first-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 6 at approximately 3:53 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 130 Rubber Ave. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle in a reckless manner along with other violations. The accused also was charged with forgery. Police reported the arrest report was not yet available regarding this arrest. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Alexis Sanchez, 35, of 16 Stonefield Drive Apt. 5, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 6 with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 6 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal over $500 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Almando Aponte, 35, of 16 Stonefield Drive Apt. 5, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 6 with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Oct. 6 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Thimuel Holland Jr., 45, of 15 Locust St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 7 with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 7 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident involving the accused on Sept. 24, 2019 where the accused threatened the victim. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 8.

Leeah Carmen Ubben, 20, of 41 Edmonds Road, Oxford, was charged Oct. 7 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Oct. 7 at approximately 5:10 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times, and damaged the victim’s personal property. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 8.

William A. Mackin, 36, of 151 Andrew Ave. Apt. A26, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 7 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on Oct. 7 at approximately 11:37 p.m. officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the area of 299 Scott St. by Peter J Foley Field. Through the officers’ investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 17.

Joseph Yurksaitis, 51, of 5 Arch St. 1 Floor, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 8 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 8 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 9.

Tyrell Ernest Gore, 30, of 358 Orange St. A414, New Haven, was charged Oct. 8 with third-degree assault, violation of protective order, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 8 at approximately 10:35 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was intoxicated. Police reported the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times. Police reported the accused was also in violation of a standing protective order by being at the residence of the protected person. The accused was held on a $20,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 9.

Jose Manuel Colon, 31, of 177 Stone Fence Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 9 with three counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 9 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 9.

Robert Anthony Walsh, 53, of 461 Spring St. Apt. 2E, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 10 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 10 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident that was reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Jan. 30, 2019. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 10.

Christian Alexander Montenegro, 28, of 618 Maple Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 10 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Oct. 10 at 6:48 p.m. officer were dispatched to a residence in Naugatuck for a domestic altercation. Police reported an argument ensued between the accused and victim. Police reported the argument escalated when the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and pulled her hair causing minor injury. The victim attempted to call 911, police reported, but the accused took the phone from her and smashed it on the ground. Police reported there were minor children within the residence at the time of the altercation. The accused was given a court date of Oct. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Augustin Crucito Pagan, 20, of 11 Molleur View Drive, Beacon Falls, was charged Oct. 3 with third-degree larceny.

Jean L. Martin, 48, of 47 Talmadge Hill Road, Prospect, was charged Oct. 11 with third-degree assault.
