Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Scott A. Dennis, 29, of 276 Union Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Sept. 30 with violation of probation, possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with officer/resisting.

Police reported on Sept. 30 at approximately 8:28 a.m. officers initiated a motor vehicle stop of the accused in the area of Cherry Street. Through further investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license while in possession of a controlled substance and in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police reported the accused also interfered with the investigation during the stop. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 9. Through further investigation, police reported, the accused was found to have a probation violation arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $50,000 surety bond to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Oct. 10.

Christian A. Martinez, 28, of 226 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 30 with second-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16 and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Sept. 30 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from an incident that was reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on 8/28, 2019 for the listed charges. The accused was held on a $150,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 1.

Miranda Lynn Agosto, 26, of 110 North Taylor Ave., Norwalk, was charged Sept. 30 with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Sept. 30 at approximately 8:28 a.m. officers initiated a motor vehicle stop of the accused in the area of Cherry Street. Through further investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 9.

Cody Tribble, 18, of 549 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 30 with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 30 at approximately 9:41 p.m. officers initiated a motor vehicle stop of the accused in the area of Route 8 southbound at exit 26 off ramp. Through further investigation, police reported, the accused was found to have an active arrest warrant for an assault incident reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Sept. 15, 2019. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior
Court on Oct. 9.

Matthew Jeremiah Grillo, 22, of 41 Locust St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 30 with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 30 the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant for an assault incident reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Sept. 15, 2019. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on
Oct. 9.

Linda S. Tribble, 50, of 549 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 30 with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 30 the accused turned herself in on an active arrest warrant for an assault incident reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Sept. 15, 2019. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on
Oct. 9.

Randi Bayne, 37, of 108 Greenbrier Road, Trumbull, was charged Oct. 1 with interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on Oct. 1 at approximately 11:04 a.m. officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location for a domestic incident. Through further investigation, police reported, the accused was found to have interfered with a 911 call. The accused was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 1.

Joshua Burgos, 26, of 190 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 1 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 1 officers responded to an undisclosed address for a domestic dispute. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was determined that the parties involved got into a verbal argument that escalated and became physical. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 2.

Aleksey Trushin, 29, of 627 Millville Ave. Apt. 9-2, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 2 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Oct. 2 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was held on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 2.

Michael Fred LaPointe, 56, of 87 Horseshoe Drive, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 2 with second-degree burglary.

Police reported on Oct. 2 the accused was arrested on an outstanding active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident where the accused was involved in a burglary reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on Dec. 26, 2014. The accused was released on a $25,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Jay Woodruff, 41, of 573 May St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 3 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, possession of less than half ounce of cannabis and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 1:03 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of City Hill Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of a controlled substance while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and while making an improper turn. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 3:17 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 3.

Terrelle A. Conyers, 36, of 28 Quarry Hill Road, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 3 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at approximately 3:16 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 282 South Main St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Jessica N. Gonzalez, 31, of 326 Hanover St., Meriden, was charged Oct. 3 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Oct. 3 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. The accused was held on a $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 3.

Jonathan Harris, 19, of 32 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 3 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 3 officers were dispatched to a residence in Naugatuck for a domestic dispute. Police reported the argument escalated when the accused began breaking objects inside the house. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 4.

Timothy O’Donnell, 55, of 155 Evening Star Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 3 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 3 at 9:45 p.m. the accused turned himself in on an active arrest warrant for the listed charges. Police reported this arrest stemmed from a past domestic incident that was reported on Aug. 31, 2019 where the accused physically restrained the victim, causing minor injury. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 4.
