Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Jonathan B. Harris, 19, of 253 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 19 with third-degree assault. Harris was charged Aug. 23 with illegal possession of weapon in motor vehicle.

Police reported on Aug. 19 at approximately 12:26 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 20.

Police reported on Aug. 23 an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of North Church Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of an illegal weapon while operating a motor vehicle. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 4.

Kenneth Michael Belanger, 56, of 143 Beacon Valley Road, Beacon Falls, was charged Aug. 19 with two counts of violation of probation.

Police reported on Aug. 19 the accused was arrested on active probation violation arrest warrants. The accused was released on a bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 4.

Sen Qing Fu, 63, of 70 Osborn Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 20 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 20 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from an incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on April 7, 2019 that involved a dispute between neighbors. The accused was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 5.

Chang Mei Zou, 30, of 148 Madison St. 7a, New York, N.Y., was charged Aug. 20 with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, knowingly violating the water pollution control act and littering violation.

Yu Xiang Zheng, 24, of 1539 71st St., Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged Aug. 20 with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, knowingly violating the water pollution control act and littering violation.

William Gabor Treszi, 34, of 232 Waterville St. Apt. 5, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 21 with violation of protective order, sixth-degree degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Aug. 21 officers were dispatched to Stop and Shop, 727 Rubber Ave., on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal less than $500 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. Police reported the accused also interfered with the officer’s investigation. Police reported further investigation showed that the accused also was in violation of a standing protective order. The accused was released on non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 22.

Marla Michelle Levine, 33, of 1873 North Main St. B, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 21 with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on Aug. 21 officers were dispatched to Stop and Shop, 727 Rubber Ave., on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Anthony Philip Guerra, 48, of 181-191 S 2nd St., Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged Aug. 21 with third-degree identity theft, third-degree forgery and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 21 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant while in custody at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the warrant was from a domestic incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on June 30, 2017 in which the accused stole the victim’s identity, forged documents and committed a larceny. The accused was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 21.

Danitza Nailene Munoz, 18, of 370 Walnut St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 21 with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Aug. 21 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant while in custody at Waterbury Superior Court. The warrant was from a domestic incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on April 9, 2019. The accused was held on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 21.

Juwon Jyre Butler, 23, of 54 Murray St. Apt. 1A, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 22 with reckless driving and engaging police in pursuit.

Police reported on Aug. 22 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Police reported the warrant was from a reckless driving and pursuit incident that occurred on April 30, 2019 in which the accused refused to stop for officers. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 4.

Jose Suarez-Medrano, 36, of 714 Beacon Valley Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 22 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Police reported on Aug. 22 at approximately 6:32 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 1183 New Haven Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 5.

Pamela M. Carmody, 38, of 70 Edin Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 22 with second-degree breach of peace and illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Police reported on Aug. 22 officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence. During the incident, police reported, the accused became involved in an argument. Police reported the accused was intoxicated and causing a scene while operating a motor vehicle. The accused was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 4.

Alexsa Rodriguez, 45, of 294 High St. Apt. 2B, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 22 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 22 at approximately 8:59 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused pushed and grabbed the victim by the neck. The accused was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 23.

Robert Y. Faber, 26, of 385 Bradbury St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 22 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Police reported on Aug. 22 at approximately 8:21 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 29 Warren Ave. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The accused was given a court date of Sept. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Rolando Baerga, 33, of 140 Willow St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 23 with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Aug. 23 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from a domestic incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on Aug. 2, 2019. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 26.

Ryssa Joan Decarlo, 24, of 223 Mount Tobe Road, Plymouth, was charged Aug. 23 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 23 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Torrington Superior Court on Sept. 5.

Carlos Filipe P. Pascoal, 36, of 560 Church St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 23 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Aug. 23 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was held on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 26.

Aleksey Trushin, 29, of 627 Millville Ave. Apt. 9-2, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 24 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence (3rd/subsequent)

Police reported on Aug. 24 at approximately 1:32 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 110 Rubber Ave. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating an unregistered motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, and without minimum insurance. This was also the accused’s third offense for driving under the influence. The accused was released on $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 5.

Eric Douglas McCarthy, 51, of 2 Barnum Road, New Fairfield, was charged Aug. 24 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence and drinking while driving.

Police reported on Aug. 24 at approximately 4:57 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Cross Street and New Haven Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and while failing to obey the traffic signals. The accused was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 5.

Mehria Denise Martin, 27, of 22 Wildwood Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 25 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 25 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was released on surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 11.

Elijah Davis, 20, of 37 Ranchwood Drive, West Haven, was charged Aug. 25 with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary.

Police reported on Aug. 25 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from a burglary incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on Dec. 30, 2018. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 4.
