Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Daniel Ellis, 33, of 234 Morning Dove Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 26 with first-degree failure to appear, failure to respond to infraction, violation of probation and three counts of second-degree failure to paper.

Police reported on June 26 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. Police reported the accused was also arrested on active failure to appear arrest warrants. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 26.

Christopher Allen Solberg, 24, of 542 High St., Naugatuck, was charged June 26 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on June 26 at approximately 1:31 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused grabbed the victim by the throat. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 27.

Jasmine Marie Rouse, 23, of 25 Valley Place North, New Haven, was charged June 26 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 26 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $115.76 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

Jerome X. Ruffin, 28, of 58 Anderson St. 2W, Naugatuck, was charged June 26 with evading responsibility.

Police reported on June 26 officers arrested the accused on a valid arrest warrant out of this town. The warrant was in regards to a evading a motor vehicle accident complaint that was reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on June 2. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 10.

Shane Patrick Wilkinson, 19, of 51 Bingham St., Naugatuck, was charged June 26 with use of motor vehicle without permission.

Police reported on June 26 at approximately 10:26 p.m. officers were dispatched to 51 Bingham St. for a vehicle taken without owner’s permission complaint. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused took the victim’s vehicle without permission and drove the vehicle while not possessing a valid driver’s license. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 10.

John P. Petryshyn, 43, of 16 Cold Spring Road, Oxford, was charged June 27 with three counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 27 the accused was arrested on active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court July 10, Derby Superior Court July 15 and Torrington Superior Court July 9.

Luc Cotnoir, 54, of 149 South St., Morris, was charged June 27 with simple trespass and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on June 27 at approximately 5:33 p.m. officers were dispatched to 25 Sunset Drive for a report of an unwanted person at the residence attempting to assault the homeowner. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was determined that the accused was on the property without permission and attempted to punch the victim in the face over a money issue. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 10.

Dawn M. Fitts, 54, of 15 Old Stream Lane, Trumbull, was charged June 28 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 28 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused conceal items totaling over $76 and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 10.

Samuel Dukes, 53, of 100 Lindley St. 2Floor, Bridgeport, was charged June 29 with possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 29 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrants. During the arrest, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Lino Tapia, 44, of 211 Wedgewood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged June 29 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 29 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between family members. During the incident, police reported, both subjects stated they became involved in an argument that turned physical when the accused subject struck the victim. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Alejandro Tapia, 18, of 211 Wedgewood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged June 29 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 29 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between family members. During the incident, police reported, both subjects stated they became involved in an argument that turned physical when the accused subject struck the victim. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Jason Michael Hill, 42, of 151 Andrew Ave. Apt. 211, Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with second-degree harassment, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 10:51 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused has been harassing and threatening the victim for some time in person and by text messages. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Johnny Luis Dominguez, 18, of 6 Over St., Waterbury, was charged June 30 with driving under influence .02 blood alcohol Concentration less than 21 years old.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 3:14 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation at the intersection of Coen Street and Oak Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and without a license. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

Noah T. Dunn, 37, of 116 Trowbridge Place, Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with third-degree assault.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 8:05 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck the victim several times. The accused was released on a $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Zaria Lenise Hyman, 22, of 40 Button St., New Haven, was charged July 1 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on July 1 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was held on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Devin Patrick Rager, 19, of 933 Rubber Ave. 4D, Naugatuck, was charged July 1 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on July 1 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was held on a $150 cash bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 1.

Troop I reported the following charges recently filed in Beacon Falls and Prospect:

Bradley Adam Zittell, 36, of 192 Skokorat Road, Beacon Falls, was charged June 20 with possession of controlled substance or more than half ounce of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joseph Samuel Hennessey, 37, of 216 Skokorat Road, Beacon Falls, was charged June 20 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension.

Melissa Ryan, 38, of 1385 Highland Ave., Waterbury, was charged June 27 with second-degree criminal damage property.

Jessica L. Jones, 41, of 2 Paul St., Plainville, was charged June 29 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
