Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Dikara Lee Ramos, 45, of 60 East Albert St., Torrington, was charged June 3 with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on June 3 at approximately 1:56 a.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $348 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for item. Police reported the accused also failed to cooperate with the investigation. The accused was held on $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 3.

Sarah Diana Stronkowsky, 32, of 70 Olive St. Apt. 3, Naugatuck, was charged June 3 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on June 3 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from an incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on May 5, 2019 in which the accused assaulted the victim, police reported. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Tashon Brown, 30, of 322 19th St., Patterson, N.J., was charged June 3 with violation of probation, conspiracy to commit assault on a public safety EMT/transit/health, conspiracy to commit interference with an officer/resisting, conspiracy to commit second-degree breach of peace and criminal attempt third-degree assault.

Police reported on June 3 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. During the arrest process, police reported, the accused assaulted public safety personnel, and interfered and resisted with the officer during the investigation by trying to flee the scene. This incident happened in a public place with multiple people who were in fear of their own safety due to the accused behavior, police reported. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 4.

Peter Martonick, 51, of 18 Baldwin St., Naugatuck, was charged June 3 with two counts of illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension.

Police reported on June 3 at approximately 4:58 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of South Main Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Police reported the accused was also arrested on an arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on May 24, 2019. The accused was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Matthew J. Demers, 33, of 70 Olive St. Apt. 3, Naugatuck, was charged June 3 possession of a controlled substance or more than half an ounce of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 3 at approximately 6:09 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of 87 Church St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, and while in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Joseph Coppola, 42, of 58 Coen St., Naugatuck, was charged June 4 with driving under the influence, interfering with an officer/resisting, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and evading responsibility-injury/property damage.

Police reported on June 4 at approximately 7:34 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of Salem Bridge and Cherry Street. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle in a reckless manner by driving his vehicle in reverse over the bridge. The vehicle’s front end was heavily damaged due to an evading motor vehicle accident that occurred at the South Main Street Mobil gas station involving the accused, police reported. It was also determined that the accused was operating under the influence of alcohol and carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle, police reported. The accused was released on a $7,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Michael John Esposito, 44, of 349 Chipman St., Waterbury, was charged June 4 with possession of a controlled substance or more than half an ounce of cannabis and violation of probation.

Police reported on June 4 at approximately 3:02 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a complaint at 15 Hillside Ave. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Police reported the accused was also arrested on a probation violation. The accused was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 5.

William Robert Bell, 39, of 7 Linden St., Naugatuck, was charged June 4 with disorderly conduct and three counts of third-degree assault.

Police reported on June 4 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between family members. During the incident, police reported, several family members stated they became involved in an argument that turned physical when the accused struck and grabbed the victims. The accused was held on a $$5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 5.

Christian Manouse, 23, of 8 Rough Wing Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 4 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 4 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between family members. During the incident, police reported, the three subjects stated they became involved in an argument that turned physical when the accused struck the victims multiple times. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 5.

Joseph Stokes, 19, of 20 West Clay St., New Haven, was charged June 5 with two counts stealing firearm and fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 5 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. Police reported the incident occurred on Jan. 14, 2019 in which the accused stole two firearms. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 5.

Brian William Herpin, 39, of 26 Newgate Road, Oxford, was charged June 5 with violation of restricted substances regulations, two counts second-degree violation of conditions of release and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on June 5 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant at Waterbury Superior Court. The incidents occurred on April 6, 2019 and April 12, 2019. The accused was held to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 5.

Coreyana Spruill, 19, of 155 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, was charged June 5 with two counts conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree burglary.

Police reported on June 5 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from an incident that was reported to Naugatuck police on Feb. 1, 2019 in which the accused conspired with others to steal items from several motor vehicles. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.
