Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Dennis Guillermo Rodriguez, 25, of 11 Vail St., Waterbury, was charged March 20 with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.

Police reported an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation on in front of 211 Spring St. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, Rodriguez was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Rodriguez was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 4.

Domingos G. Teixeira, 53, of 91 Rockwell Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 20 with driving under the influence, second-degree assault, reckless driving and drinking while driving.

Police reported on March 20 at around 3:49 p.m. police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at 144 Rubber Ave. It was determined that the pedestrian had sustained serious injuries and he was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Police reported officers at the scene developed evidence that Teixeira was suspected to be under the influence and he was subsequently taken into custody and charged with the listed charges. Teixeira was held on a $100,000 bond pending his appearance at Waterbury Superior Court on March 21.

Dave Roberts Jr., 42, of 1 Cross St., Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 21 Roberts was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Roberts was held on a $2,500 Surety Bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 21.

Jeffrey Alan Schiller, 55, of 3 Vine St., Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 21 at approximately 10:58 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Schiller became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated when, according to the victim, Schiller kicked the victim’s bedroom door off of the hinges. Schiller was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 22.

Travis Richard Waldo, 38, of 35 General Patton Drive, Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with three counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 21 Waldo was arrested on active failure to appear arrest warrants. Waldo was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 22.

Claudio Antonio Mendanha, 43, of 564 Rubber Ave., was charged March 22 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 12:17 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in front of 130 Rubber Ave. Police reported Mendanha was observed failing to drive in the proper lane. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, Mendanha was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and or drugs and without a license. Mendanha was given a court date of April 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Seth Vincent Mulhall, 24, of 61 Windview Drive, Naugatuck, was charged March 23 with driving under the influence, drinking while driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 6:23 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of High Street at Maple Street. Police reported Mulhall was observed taking a right hand turn onto High Street from May Street without giving a proper signal. The rear of the vehicle also only had one properly working taillight, police reported. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, and found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mulhall was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 4.

Noah Timothy Dunn, 37, of 116 Trowbridge Place, Naugatuck, was charged March 23 with driving under the influence and drinking while driving.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 7:14 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Dunn became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated. The victim then called police. Police reported Dunn was found operating his vehicle at the time attempting to leave the area. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, Dunn was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Dunn was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 4.

April R. Main, 37, of 34 Center St., Thomaston, was charged March 23 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 23 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Main illegally conceal $62.87 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. Main was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 3.

Yamilex Ayala, 23, of 90 Waterville St., Waterbury, was charged March 24 with second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on March 24 at approximately 1:50 a.m. officers responded to the area of 66 Church St. for several females arguing in a parking lot. Police reported officers tried to get the crowd to disperse, but Ayala continued to argue and cause a scene. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Ayala was intoxicated. After officers prompted Ayala to leave the area multiple times, police reported, she continued to not comply. Ayala was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 4.

Vishal Ragunauth, 23, of 10 Frisbie Circle, Wolcott, was charged March 24 with driving under the influence and drinking while driving.

Police reported on March 24 at approximately 2:45 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the Mobil gas station at 282 South Main St. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ragunauth was operating under the influence of alcohol and was drinking alcohol while driving. Ragunauth was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 3.

Kyle Dojnia, 28, of 94 Irving St., Naugatuck, was charged March 24 with driving under the influence and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on March 24 officers responded to a disturbance between family members. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Dojnia was intoxicated. During the incident, police reported, both subjects stated they became involved in an argument over Dojnia driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated and causing a scene outside of the residence. Dojnia was released on $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 4.

Benjamin D. Day, 21, of 485 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged March 25 with three counts of violation of probation.

Police reported on March 25 Day was arrested on probation violations. Day was held on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on March 26.

Ronald Aviz, 54, of 48 Goodyear Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 25 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 25 at approximately 6:25 p.m. officers arrested Aviz on an active arrest warrant. The incident was reported on March 9, 2019 for an item stolen from a construction site at Linden Park at 155 North Main St. Aviz was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 3.

Shane Jason Harrison, 23, of 69 Kuhne Road, Southbury, was charged March 26 with first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 1:20 a.m. officers arrested Harrison on an active arrest warrant out of this town. Police reported the incident was reported on March 12, 2019 where Harrison was told previously not to enter a property on multiple occasions, and he failed to listen. Harrison was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 4.

Christal A. Thompson, 30, of 68 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged March 26 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 26 at approximately 7:35 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Thompson became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, Thompson pushed the victim several times. Thompson was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.
