Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Shane Jason Harrison, 23, of 87 Watertown Road, Thomaston, was charged March 13 with violation of protective order, first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 12:12 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Harrison was at the victim’s residence, trespassing on the property and appeared to have kicked the front door. Police reported there was also a protective order in place that Harrison was violating. Harrison was held on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 13.

Edison Sanchez, 20, of 66 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16 and three counts of second-degree sexual assault.

Police reported on March 13 officers arrested the accused on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. The warrant stemmed from an incident that was reported to officers on Aug. 16, 2018. Sanchez was released on a $75,000.00 surety bond to appear in
Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.

Gustavo Olmeda-Barrios, 30, of 89 Walker Road, New Britain, was charged March 14 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 14 officers arrested Olmeda-Barrios on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Olmeda-Barrios was released on a $500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.

John Christopher Cruz, 22, of 60 Fiske St., Waterbury, was charged March 14 with second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on March 14 Cruz was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on Feb. 3, 2019 in which he became involved in a domestic dispute in which he exited his vehicle with a bat and threatened the victim. Cruz was released on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 15.

Aja Mantel, 33, was charged March 15 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 15 Mantel was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Mantel was released on a $10,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 15.

Elizabeth Framski, 19, of 4 Skyline Drive, Prospect, was charged March 15 with fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 15 at approximately 5:08 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Framski illegally conceal $32.71 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the items. Framski was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.

Cassandra E. Crowley, 18, of 40 Hockanum Glen Drive, Beacon Falls, was charged March 15 with fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 15 at approximately 5:08 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Crowley illegally conceal $32.71 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the items. Crowley was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.

Richard M. Ashe III, 29, of 33 Eaton St., North Haven, was charged March 15 with second-degree failure to appear and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 15 Ashe was arrested on an active arrest warrants. Police reported one warrant was from an incident reported to officers on Jan. 18 where Ashe stole merchandise from Big Y Supermarket located at 85 Bridge St. Ashe was released on a $1,000 surety bond on the second-degree failure to appear charge, and on a promise to appear on the sixth-degree larceny charge. He was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.

Sharyann Gonzalez, 30, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 16 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 16 at approximately 1:48 a.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation on Edward Street at Rubber Avenue. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, Gonzalez was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license. Gonzalez was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Michael Hungerford, 37, of 56 Terrace Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 16 with second-degree stalking and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on March 16 officers were dispatched to a residence on a harassment and stalking complaint. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, it was found that Hungerford has been harassing and stalking the victim for some time through calls, texts messages, and going by her residence. Police reported Hungerford was advised previously by officers in the department to stay away from the victim. Hungerford was released on a $5,000 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 18.

Kyle A. Anders-Huculak, 20, of 143 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged March 18 with three counts of first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 18 Anders-Huculak was arrested on active failure to appear arrest warrants. Anders-Huculak was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 19.

Patrick Walsh, 55, of 38 Neuman St., Naugatuck, was charged March 18 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on March 18 at approximately 2:34 p.m. officers were dispatched to 32 Neumann St. on a report of an assault between two adult males. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined that Walsh assaulted the victim by punching him in the face, and then left the area. Police reported the victim stated the argument stemmed from Walsh being upset about the victim not living at the residence and not being allowed to park where he was parked. Walsh was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 27.

Ronald Sambrook, 65, of 28 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged March 18 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 18 at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Sambrook became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, Sambrook put his arm was around her neck in a choke-hold after pushing her onto the bed. Sambrook was held on a $1,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 19.

Christina Jennings, 38, of 44 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged March 19 with disorderly conduct and first-degree violation of conditions of release.

Police reported on March 19 at approximately 7:35 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Jennings became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, Jennings struck the victim several times. Jennings was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 20. Police reported at approximately 8:11 p.m. officers responded to a report of a person in violation of a conditions of release. Police reported Jennings returned back to a residence where she was told to stay away from where the victim was present and living. Jennings was held on a $7,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 20.

Christopher Rafael, 26, of 51 Pritchard Road, Waterbury, was charged March 19 with driving under the influence and drinking while driving.

Police reported on March 19 at approximately 11:19 p.m. an officer initiated a motor vehicle investigation in the area of New Haven Road at Osborn Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, Rafael was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol, and drinking while driving. Rafael was given a court date of April 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
